Kokopax Child Carrier Review!

Kokopax Logo

kokopax was created by Sarah, a mother of four young children, who was introduced by her parents to the vintage carriers they used to use when they were raising children. She quickly saw the benefit of child carrying to keep your arms free to cook, shop, attend school activities with older children, travel, and more. While on a trip to the Northwest, Sarah came across some beautiful fabric that inspired her to create a modern design based on the functionality of the older carriers she had come to depend on. kokopax offers a premium carrier that is eco-friendly and loaded with features. Their eco-classic carrier weighs just 3 pounds and even fits in airline overhead bins for ease when traveling!

I am a huge fan of child carriers as they are so extremely helpful for bring along your littlest family member before they can walk or when walking for a longer period of time just won’t work. Carrying your child in a carrier is SO much easier as the weight is distributed and your hands are left free. I have tried many different carriers in the past but all of the carriers I have tried hold your child right next to your body making it hard for them to see out and much hotter with your two bodies so close together. I love those carriers for their own applications but with my 21 month old, we wanted something that would let him see what was happening and keep mom or dad cooler when carrying him. This past weekend we went on a family hike which was the perfect time to try our the kokopax eco-classic carrier. This carrier really can used for everyday even around the home uses, but as my son is old enough to walk, it primarily would come in handy for us in times when walking would be tiring for his little body.

Kokopax Child Backpack Carrier Review

This carrier itself is very light weight so you don’t add a ton of extra weight to your child’s body weight with a bulky carrier. It also has a 5-point harness which is great for young infants and for squirmy children to keep them safe! I also appreciated the small built-in pocket which was perfect for stashing our car keys and camera when we set off on the trail. My youngest loved going for a ride and had great visibility from his spot that he was pointing out all the rocks, trees, lizards, grass, you name it! You do still feel the heat around your upper back from wearing a child but this carrier is much cooler than alternatives we’ve tried for both the rider and the carrier. I also really loved that you can put your child in the carrier and get him buckled and secured and then put on the carrier all by yourself without needing any help, a huge perk! This is a great carrier and we were really happy with our experience trying it out! It will certainly be our go-to carrier for any outdoors activity with our little ones once they reach 6 months.
