Organize Your Electronics

Technology is pretty amazing right? It is hard to imagine that in just my short twenty some odd years here on earth how much it has changed and grown. I mean when I was in jr. high school pagers were top of the line technology and now my cell phone can literally talk to me! Crazy when you think about it.

With all of these advancements have come a lot of gear. Sometimes I feel like I am drowning in cords and chargers! Right now our home just has toddlers running around, but I know that in a blink of an eye they will have their own phones, Kindles, Tablets, and iPods. It was time for me to find a way to organize all of our electronic equipment. That way by the time they are old enough to add to the mess I have a system going.

Like most moms Target holds a very special place in my heart. I took a vacation, I mean a trip there by myself, to find some things to help my situation. I found BlueLounge. BlueLounge makes well designed products that help keep your electronics in check while still looking good! Here are my tips for organizing all that stuff that clutters your counters, desks, and nightstands.

Control Your Cords.

The other day our Blu-Ray player was being weird and I needed to unplug it. My husband sets up all of our electronics and I was shocked at the mess of cords behind our tv. Good thing I unplugged the right one! I was determined to make them all organized and easy to navigate. I used the CableClip and CableDrops to “direct traffic” and control excess footage on the cords. I also installed, their peel and stick backs make this painfully easy, a CableDrop Mini on the edge of my nightstand to keep my phone cord from puling my phone off onto the floor. I can’t tell you how happy this makes me, it is the little things right?

Clear Your Counters.

Does anyone else catch their cords on accident and send items crashing to the floor? I am loving Rolio Dock N’ Roll. Now I can plug my phone in on the kitchen counter and it keeps everything neat, tidy, and safe from my clumsiness.

Hide the mess.

If all else fails hide the mess! The BlueLounge CableBox and CableBox Mini snap right around the top of those ugly surge protectors! I love having this next to my night stand in my room. When you have your phone, iPod, Kindle, and a baby monitor plug in, things can get pretty ugly!

BlueLounge also makes tablet stands, key chain chargers, and feet for your laptop to keep your wrists comfortable. Thank goodness they came up with all these great products to save me the time and effort of coming up with a system of my own! Plus, an extra trip to Target never hurt anyone either, am I right!?
