Kobo Touch e-Reader Review
I love to read but I feel like there are always 100 different reasons and excuses that keep me from actually taking the time to sit down and read. Usually the reason is that I don’t want to get sucked into the book and not be able to function for a few days until I can finally finish and put it down. Because really, that is what usually happens once I start a really good book. But having an e-Reader on hand makes it so much easier to drop the excuses and find the love of reading again.
I received a Kobo Touch to review. It is very slim and lightweight so it fits in my purse and I take it along with me for doctor’s appointments, waiting for kids in their activities, or even when my husband is driving us somewhere sometimes I’ll pull it out and read a few chapters while we drive. The screen is so easy on my eyes I love that it uses the Pearl E Ink touchscreen so there is no harsh light or glare and I can even really easily see the screen in the brightest light of the day. Since you can touch the screen to navigate for finding a book, flipping the page, zooming in and navigation and more it becomes really natural and easy to use. Plus, you can store up to 1,000 eBooks all on the built in internal memory or upgrade with the expansion slot for 30x as many books!
I was really impressed with how long the battery lasts which is really convenient since I often have it on the go with me. A single charge can last up to a month depending on usage. One really fun aspect that gives you a way to challenge yourself and your reading with Kobo Reading Life Rewards! Wow! I am impressed that the battery stays long! Kindle has such a poor battery life.
I do not have a reader yet. I thought they were way more expensive that the 99.99 Will be considering this one!
I’m impressed with the battery life, the number of books you can put on one…not to mention the expansion capabilities AND the fact that it is so affordable.
I think this would be easier on the eyes and I love the price!
i love the inexpensive price and for a stand alone reader it looks great, but i think i’d rather spend more and have the versatility of a tablet.
I have both a tablet and an ereader and I *much* prefer to read on my ereader. The tablet is hard on my eyes for reading.
I like that it tracks what you’ve read and gives you statistics (math geek here)
Looks like a great reader, but it seems a bit blah compared to my Kindle Fire

I like how slim these are and truly easy to carry anywhere. Being Ad free is a plus! Im amazed you can read it so well in the sunlight.
A touch screen e-reader sounds like a great idea
Amazing how the print is so easy to see in bright sunlight. Some e-readers are useless in direct sun, or even outdoors at all. Also love the touch screen.
