I Choose My Windows Phone over an iPhone

A few days ago, I asked what kind of Smartphone you have. After writing the post and thinking about it more and more, I realized once again how much I truly do love my Windows Phone! Even if it is on short supply of tons and tons of apps, it is still a very awesome platform that is so easy to navigate! It’s interesting to me to see how many people choose an iphone over any other platform and all the hype that surrounds the iphone that I don’t think is completely deserved. It reminds me a lot of the PC vs Mac debate. I don’t really understand how the Apple laptops that retail at probably three times the price can even compete in the general marketplace. In our home, we are totally a PC and Windows family and I do not at all buy into the hype that the apple products are so much better and worth three times the price. So, when you’re ready to sell your iphone and switch over to Android or Windows phones, I really won’t blame you. Is it really worth hanging onto a phone just because of the hype? I have heard way more stories of broken screens with the iphone more than any other smartphone out there. That’s all for now, I’m off to play around on my Windows Phone!

  1. It’s nice to hear some positives from a Windows fan. It seems like Apple gets most of the PR. Thanks for sharing your point of view.

  2. good write up …and like many ‘older’ folks, i see the apple as way overhyped. I hear good things about windows and android operating systems

  3. wow… so many types of phones out there. I like the apple phones but after reading your review… I will stick with a basic android phone

  4. lol– I ‘mm laughing because I am having to get a phone now– and I had no idea what I should be looking for–thanks for the advise– I really need it

  5. Thanks for this very important and interesting blog post about the iphone. I had my doubts about the iphone, and now I am glad that you have let me know. I do not think that a person has to spend a fortune on a phone to have a good phone!

  6. I dont have a smartphone that is ‘smart’ as I dont have a data plan. I have seen tons on both and am seeing more and more hardcore iphone users switching over to android.

  7. Since I don’t have a smart phone of any kind I don’t have a preference. I’d probably not get an iPhone simply because of the cost.

  8. Well ok I guess I respectfully disagree. I grew up in a windows/PC home and never thought much of Apple. Well my husband convinced me to try apple one day and I have to say for me apple was so much better. My Mac runs so much faster than my windows ever did even though it’s older than my windows. I find it to be a lot more user friendly than my windows was and the start up and shut down times to be faster too. I could go on but I was a windows user until I was in my 20s and I only had to spend a few hours on a Mac to become a convert to apple products. Also I have had an iPhonr since July now and I love it – never had any problems with it.
