Freshly Picked Moccasin Review

I received moccasins in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.

I love the look of shoes on tiny baby feet, and of course once they start walking they are a necessity, but darn it they just never stay on! I am always on the look out for new shoes that will stay on my kiddos sweet little feet. Turns out Susan Petersen of Freshly Picked had the very same problem. Instead of buying a million different pairs of shoes, hoping eventually one pair will stay on, she sat down to solve the problem.

“Using her second child, Gus, as a mocc-tester, and a bag of scrap leather she picked up at a yard sale, she began experimenting with designs. Working at her kitchen table, on a shoestring budget, Susan persisted through some disastrous attempts until she had created a pair of moccasins that not only looked adorable on Gus’ chubby little feet, but stayed on his feet as well.”

And boy am I glad she did! When I saw Freshly Picked’s moccasins I just knew my kids had to have them. I was so excited the day they came in the mail and I love them even more than I thought I would! They are made from the softest, strongest leather. My kids love to wear them and they stay on my little lady’s feet!

My girly actually has two pairs, Platinum Leather and Bubble Gum Suede. Both of them are super cute, personally I prefer the leather ones to the suede ones, they seem softer and get less dirty. It wouldn’t stop me from getting another pair of suede ones in the future though. If you are looking for a great metallic neutral for your little girls wardrobe, Platinum  are the moccs for you! They go with everything and my little girl loves to point at them and say “Pretty!”

My little guy has Weathered Brown Moccasins which also match everything. I knew that I wanted moccs for my baby but I was nervous about how they would hold up for my older toddler. He is almost three and loves to run and play and these shoes have been awesome. They are really durable and comfy.

Freshly Picked moccasins are available in children’s sizes 1-10. These gorgeous moccs have been featured in Parenting Magazine, IN TOUCH, US weekly, People.com, Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Kourtney and Kim Take New York. I am so happy with Freshly Picked moccasins, they are a must have in any kids wardrobe, super stylish, very durable, and hand made! It is a win-win for everyone. Wanna win a pair? Freshly Picked is offering a pair of moccasins in your choice of color to one lucky A Mom’s Take winner. ARV $60.
