For the eighty percent of women who are wearing bras that aren’t the right fit, choosing the right bra is the first step in looking and feeling more comfortable and confident.
Intimate apparel should be a strong foundation for the rest of your fashion choices—it is meant to be seamless and smoothing. Choosing a bra that suits your body type will ensure your clothes fit and flow well. Vanity Fair Bras has a few easy tips to help you find the right fit:
1) Get Measured: Consult a professional fitter—many are available right where you buy your bra and the proper fit makes all the difference.
2) Stay Focused: Once you know your size, think through what you’re looking for in a bra. Do you need something for a strapless dress or perhaps a daily bra with added boost? Knowing what you want before you start shopping will help you focus.
3) Be Patient: Buying a bra takes time just like jeans or a bathing suit, no two vendors fit the same. Be prepared to try on lots of different bras to find the perfect fit.. Once you find the bra for you, keep the garment tag with the style number and size in your wallet—this way you can buy a pretty new color or stock up on the basics whenever you please, without having to go through the whole process again!
4) Find Support: Only 10% of your support should come from shoulder straps. The bra band (the part that wraps around your back, holding the cups in place) should provide 90% of the support. If you’re lacking support, try a bra with a wider band.
Honestly, I have never had a bra fitting in my life! And I think I am probably in the 80% that is wearing the wrong size bra. And next time I need to buy one, I am definitely going to have a fitting done. I hate the feeling of a bra that doesn’t fit right. One great tip to help you know at home if you’re well supported – the center of a woman’s breast should sit between her shoulder and elbow when she is wearing a properly fitted bra. This Vanity Fair Modern Coverage Advanced Support Bra is a very comfortable bra that provides the perfect amount of support, both in the band and in the straps. It is comfortable to wear all day long. And it helps create a smooth silhouette in t-shirts or sweaters. If you’re looking for a great bra, be sure to go get one today!
You can buy the Vanity Fair Modern Coverage Advanced Support Bra from Kohl’s & JC Penney. It retails for $34.00.

I went and had a fitting about a month ago. I have to say it was the best thing I have done for myself in ages! I was wearing the wrong size bra by 2 cup sizes. I love my new bra! It is the best fitting bra I have ever worn. Take the time and go get fit by someone who really knows what they are doing. Your back and breast will thank you. :)

I've never had a bra fitting either but I know I need one. My grandmother always tried to tell me about the importance of a well fitting bra, she even slept in hers!

I probably should go for a fitting as my breasts have gone through quite a transformation since having my daughter. lol.

I definitely need a fitting. All my bras hurt after having two kids, and I have no clue what size I am now.
