We have a beautiful beach themed bathroom design but wanted to update some of our outdated hardware and so we started a bathroom remodel project. We exchanged our old silver hardware for beautiful oil rubbed bronze fixtures from Moen.

Our project started out of a need to have more room in our kids bathroom shower. Since that bathroom has a built-in shower/tub combo it’s always been pretty cramped in the shower. We were able to add in a Curved Shower Rod by Moen that was sent to us for review and it made a huge difference! I was amazed how much difference those few inches from the curve of the rod could make in making the shower feel so much more roomy! When I tried out the shower with the new shower rod, I had enough room that I no longer hit the plastic shower liner while I was taking a shower. Not only was the rod so incredibly nice for giving us more room but it also gave us so much more style in our bathroom as well. We love the deep bronze color that matches the rest of our accents in the bathroom.

At the same time we updated our curtain rings to a dual sided hook that keeps the cloth curtain and the plastic liner separate. These rings make the curtain slide open and closed easier and makes taking the curtain off for washing so much easier! The final pieces of hardware left to update was our toilet paper holder and hand towel hook. Moen has a really neat Kingsley toilet paper holder that pivots up to let you reload a new roll of toilet paper. It looks SO much nicer than a spring loaded white paper holder and it is a really neat design that makes reloading really easy! We have loved our robe hook as well, that we use for hanging our hand towels rather than a ring style towel holder since we have a very narrow area for our hand towel to hang. We also added in a plush taupe bathroom rug to finish off the room. The changes in the room really made a big difference!
