Chocolate Marshmallow Hot Fudge Sauce

You know at the end of a long day, when you are just about ready to throw in the towel, and then your husband walks in with your favorite cold fountain drink and you just fall in love with him all over again? I think we have that one comforting treat or gesture that just makes life seem doable again. For my husband and my son that is chocolate milk. If I ever feel like spoiling them, I grab them a some chocolate milk at the store.

When I saw that TruMoo has a limited edition Chocolate Marshmallow Milk I just knew we had to give it a try. It is delicious however you consume it, but the carton says, “Try It Hot” and we wanted to do just that. We warmed some up in a mug for a delicious, and effortless hot chocolate treat.

We loved it hot so much, that I wanted to try something else and I am so excited to share that recipe with you today. This marshmallow fudge sauce is amazing on ice cream, cake, graham crackers, or just by the spoonful! Plus, it is a breeze to make!

You will need:

1 Cup Sugar

1/3 Cup Cocoa

1/2 TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow Milk

1/4 Cup Butter

A Pinch of Salt

A Handful of Marshmallows

Put all items in a saucepan.

Heat and stir on med-high heat until the sauce is boiling.

Boil for 1 minute. Let cool.

Pour on pretty much anything!

We used this rich sauce tonight to top off Triple Chocolate Brownies with Chocolate Malt Custard for a truly decadent ending to a very crazy week.

TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow, like regular TruMoo, is made with low-fat white milk, no artificial growth hormones or high fructose corn syrup, and is brought to you by your trusted local dairy. It is great cold, but amazing hot. Our other favorite way to drink it is making TruMoo Rocky Road Hot Chocolate:

Rocky Road Hot Chocolate 2 cups TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow milk

1/4 cup coarsely broken graham crackers

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Garnish: chocolate chips, graham cracker pieces, mini marshmallows, toasted almonds

In small saucepan over medium heat, heat TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow milk, graham crackers and vanilla until milk is hot.

Pour into mugs. Garnish with chocolate chips, graham crackers, toasted almonds and mini marshmallows* if desired.

*If desired, broil mini marshmallows until lightly browned before garnishing.

To heat in microwave oven, combine milk, graham crackers and vanilla in large glass measure. Heat on High 1 minute or until warmed through. Garnish as above.

Serves 2.

Have your tried TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow Milk hot? What would you top with this warm, gooey sauce?
