5 Ways a Tablet is Better Than a Laptop!

This post and giveaway are sponsored by Microsoft/Walmart but all opinions are my own.

We would all love some new tech in our homes, right? With students headed off to high school and college, it’s important to learn about the technology that can help students succeed! Tablets have come a long way and can now literally replace the need for a laptop and often provide many advantages over a laptop. Here are 5 ways a tablet can be a better choice for students than a laptop:

No Bulk – Choosing a tablet over a laptop eliminates any extra bulk. A 12″ Surface Pro 3 tablet, for example, is .36″ thick – that’s about 1/3 of an inch! When you add a keyboard, you really aren’t adding anything in weight or bulk, either. You also don’t need a big clunky case for your tablet or even to lug around your charging cables.

Lightweight – The Surface Pro 3 is under 2 lbs so you can literally carry your tablet in a small case or your purse and head to class. You can also often eliminate all your textbooks and view them right on your tablet using the pen to mark and take notes on each chapter without running those expensive required textbooks.

Taking Notes – With a tablet, you can use a connected pen for taking all of your notes by hand an making your notes really personalized to your needs. It’s fast and easy to use the pen for note taking and you won’t lose your paper notes crumbled at the bottom of your backpack. It’s all built-in to the tablet’s functionality, too.

Battery Life – The Surface tablet has a battery life of up to 9 hours! This means you can take it from class to class and still have battery left for after class studying or time to unwind.

Flexible Uses – Use your tablet for taking notes, studying, writing class essays, playing games, chatting with friends over Skype with the included webcam, or manage a part time job and finances. You can do your work wherever you go with it’s portability.

Head over to Walmart to find out more about the Surface Pro 3 Tablet and get ready for the new school year!
