Manchester Grand Hyatt, San Diego Review

Manchester Grand Hyatt

Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego is located along the waterfront of San Diego Bay between the San Diego Convention Center and Seaport Village. They have 1,625 guest rooms including 95 suites, 63 accessible rooms, 40 hypo-allergenic rooms, premium-view rooms, and even a pet-friendly floor!

In addition to their rooms they also have over 125,000 square feet available for venues such as conferences, conventions, and even weddings! They have many different options available as a wedding venue such as their 30,000 square foot Elizabeth Ballroom.

While staying at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel you will also be able to enjoy their two pools, Kin Spa services, Sports Court, Fire pits, and Hyatt Stay Fit Gym!

Kin | Spa Services

Kin | Spa offers nail and hair care, massages, facials, waxing, as well as body treatments. Their massage treatments start at $80 for a 25 minute Swedish massage and up with a variety of massage options and in 60 or 90 minute treatments as well. They offer combination package as well for 2, 3.5, or 4 hour packages!

Spa guests also receive complimentary use of the spa facilities and Eldredge Fitness center the day of their treatment (a $25 value).  Guests are also provided with complimentary use of spa robes, slippers, and lockers during their visit. Kin | Spa has a menu available as well for dining services.

Restaurants!

For your convenience, there are many dining options as a part of the hotel.

Sally’s Seafood on the Water has been named the #1 Restaurant from all Hyatt chained Hotel restaurants! They feature seafood right on the waterfront with exceptional views of San Diego Bay! This restaurant has a Chef’s Table and open kitchen design.

Lael’s Steakhouse is not only known for their fine steaks, but they are responsible for over 1 million wake-up calls to enjoy their all you can eat breakfast buffet!

Redfield’s Sports Bar offers a place to watch the game while enjoying their wings, or other great menu items. We actually visited Redfield’s for dinner one night and their wings were delicious!! Both my husband and I could not stop eating them and finished off 15 wings each!

Also available at the Manchester Grand Hyatt is the Top of the Hyatt Lounge, Grand Lobby Bar, Anne-Marie’s Coffee House and Redfield’s Deli. They offer in-room room service as well.

My Experience!

We were able to stay two nights in a beautiful suite that included a standard 2 bed room as well as a full family room, dining area, and kitchen. The family area also had a built in Murphy bed so we pulled that down for our boys to sleep there so we could have our “own” room which was SO nice!!!

The beds were very comfortable and every detail we came across was put together very well. I loved that they had a hair dryer in the room, as I didn’t pack one so that was a nice extra! Our bedroom’s shower didn’t get to a really hot temperature though, so we all used the family room area’s bathroom for baths and showers.

We had a great time playing out on the sports court and it was really fun teaching the boys horseshoes and shuffleboard which they had never been able to play before! We went down to play in the pool as well, though it was pretty windy the night we went to swim so it was very cold when we got out!

It was really nice to have EVERYTHING we would need right there in the hotel and we could have just stayed at the hotel all day without even going out and probably enjoyed ourselves! The only somewhat disappointing thing I found at Manchester Grand Hyatt was the parking was $26 each day.

Manchester Grand Hyatt Gives Back

In addition to all the services offered at Manchester Grand Hyatt, they also care about the community! This year they will be hosting their 3rd annual charity event called “Over the Edge for KIT”.

This event allows people to rappel from the 33rd story of the Manchester Grand Hyatt. You can make donations or pledge to help someone else as a $1,000 pledge is required to reserve your place. This event will be taking place on August 20th, 2011.

Manchester Grand Hyatt is located at One Market Place, San Diego California. You can book your stay online or by calling (619)232-1234.
