Tips to Get More From Your Limited Bedroom Spaces

With a small home and four boys, keeping their rooms organized and having enough storage space is always a struggle. With space being so limited, I knew early on that I wanted a bed for my oldest that had built-in storage space under his mattress to give more clothing storage. It’s been very beneficial to give us the extra space for pajamas and sweaters without taking up any extra floor space. This same concept can translate perfect to your guest rooms with the use of an ottoman bed that lifts up just like a traditional ottoman to give you lots of storage space. It would be perfect to stash and store all your supplies for out of town guests all below the guest bed leaving you with a clean and clutter free space the rest of the year when the guest room stays out of use. Store extra bedding, towels, hygiene products, and the like all in the ottoman bed.

My other favorite way to ensure you get the most out of the space in your bedroom is by making sure your closet is efficient. For us, we added in lots of shelves since our young boys have very little clothing to hang. Most closets come with just one full length hanging clothes line which leaves you with lots of wasted space. You can add in shelves or at least a double hanging line to easily give you more room! This is a project you can even do yourself, which just a bit of time and effort.
