Review of the 2014 Kia Sorento

I was able to test drive the new 2014 Kia Sorento during our family vacation. I did not get to keep the car and no additional compensation was provided.

2014 Kia Sorento

Kia has introduced their latest model of the Sorento and in it you will find some amazing new features that make this car roomy, comfortable, and a perfect family vehicle. With the third row option, you have space for your kids or your children’s friends with the flexibility to make the car work for your needs. With the sleek look and feel of the car, you won’t feel like a “soccer mom” but you will still have all the space you need for your family.

There are so many awesome features available in the 2014 Kia Sorento! Our very favorite new feature was the full sized sunroof that spans the entire roof of the car. This makes the Kia feel really roomy and open! Our kids all LOVED being able to see out and they were always asking as soon as we hopped into the car for us to slide open the window covering. They would look out and tell us about the birds, clouds, airplanes, and whatever else they caught a glimpse of as we drove around town.

A lot of the options can enhance the safety of your vehicle with really smart side mirrors that alert you when another car or option is in your blind spot and a back-up camera that beeps and warns you if you try to back up with something showing in your path.

We loved the features that made the ride more comfortable for us as passengers. One we used every day was the option to either heat or cool your seat! The cooling feels a little weird as I haven’t ever had a cooled seat before, but oh does it work wonders! No more sweaty back on a hot and humid day. A dial control let me adjust my temperature in the passenger seat separate from my husband at the wheel or the kids in the back so well all felt just right.

Other features are just really cool, like mirrors you can fold in with the touch of a button to protect them at car washes or when you just need to squeeze out of a tight fit thanks to a not-so-great parking job from the car beside you. Navigation can be built-in to the dash giving you turn-by-turn navigation to keep your eyes on the road while you get assistance on unfamiliar roads.

The trunk can open with the push of a button so no more heavy hatch back door you need to slam shut to get to close. Simply touch the button on the key fob or located right on the inside of the hatch door to close the trunk. This makes loading in a child into the back row if you’re using half a row or loading in groceries and other supplies really easy! We had one in the back row and he thought it was so fun to climb in through the back!

2014 Kia Soreneto Test Drive

The Sorento drives really nicely and handles great. I felt really comfortable driving the car, even though I am usually nervous when driving a new vehicle. Best of all, the whole family was very comfortable and safe in the 2014 Kia Sorento. This is an absolutely beautiful car and a great pick if you are in the market for a new family friendly vehicle this year. If you haven’t tried out the Kia Sorento yet, it’s absolutely worth heading in for a test drive!
