I was provided a MommySlim Premium 4-week Diet Kit and compensation in exchange for this post. Regardless, all opinions are entirely my own.
4 weeks ago I started the MommySlim Premium 4-week diet plan. As I mentioned in my original post here, my hope was to really start taking better care of myself. Obviously losing weight was an added bonus, but I really just wanted to focus on me more and make sure I was really getting the nutrients and food I needed to sustain the energy I needed as a mom.
Before MommySlim I was terrible at making time for eating, this meant that I would just snack when I got hungry or pick at my kid’s plates at lunch. I am sure I was getting plenty of calories, just not in the right way and not of the right kind. I am happy to say that for 4 weeks I have been so much better about sitting down and eating. Here are the things I have loved most about the program:
Flexibility– While MommySlim has laid out the program for you here, but you are free to choose from a selection of meals/snacks each day. There are enough choices to give you some variety, but the best is dinner is up to you. I really learned to love mixing up my proteins and veggies each night to prepare something yummy for dinner. I also loved being able to still have a little starch in my diet because I am a carb girl at heart.
Convenience– Remember all that talk about being a busy mom, well MommySlim is quick. Their prepackaged meals are easy and fast to make, plus none of them need to be refrigerated. That means they are easy to throw in your purse while you are out and about, take with you for lunch at work, or even pack up and take with you if you are headed out of town! It does’t get much easier than that!
Tasty– I have always been really nervous about trying a plan like this because of what the food might taste like. Everything that MommySlim sent my way was pretty good. Of course I prefer some of the foods to others, that is only natural, but I really liked it! I love the dessert cookies! After about 2 weeks I got a little burned out on the meal replacement shakes but then I just started adding my fruit servings to them with some ice! Smoothies are so easy to whip up fast!
Overall my MommySlim experience was a success. I am finally feeling on top of my eating and am getting much better at making time for myself to fuel my body. I lost 5-6 pounds this month, which is great, but what is even better is how I feel. I have the energy I need to run around after my kids all day. My clothes fit better and I just feel better about life!

I've never heard of this product, and I love that no refrigeration is needed. I'm going to look into it. Thanks for sharing!

I've tried other meal plans that tasted awful. If this really does taste like good food then it's a plan I could use.

Yes! And the best part is you get to mix in fresh fruits and veggies and protein so you still are eating your regular favorites too!
