Nutrisystem Week 1 Update!

For those of you that are curious to know how my first full week with Nutrisystem went, I’m here with an update! This week has been quite a bit of an adjustment for me with portion sizes being smaller, yet more frequent meals, and just a different meals and snacking then I typically used to eat.

Even so, now a full week has gone by being on Nutrisystem and I have to say, I actually really like the system! I planned out all my meals for the week and set them in my cupboard all in a pile for the first 3 days, then again for the next 4 days, so the meals were all easy to grab with very little thought.

Some of the food is still just okay, but there are other meals I’ve really enjoyed this week and will definitely order again! And, can I confess, I have been allowed to eat LOTS of chocolate on my diet! Nutrisystem approved, of course.

Still, how fun is it to eat a Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar for lunch! My week wasn’t perfect, I had a few slight variances as I’m figuring out the “no-no’s” of the plan, but overall I think I did really well sticking to the meals and portions.

Weekly Progress!

Week 1:  -1

Favorite Food this week:
Garden Vegetable Omelet

Nutrisystem Week 1 Update!I really love omelets and my husband cooks them for me quite often so I wasn’t sure if this would be up to par with my expectations for an omelet. Since there are some seasonings I can add with Nutrisystem without having to account for them, I added Crushed Red Pepper and it gave it a kick and made the omelet actually really good! It’s small then I’m used to, probably about a 2 egg omelet, but it was delicious and I’m definitely ordering this meal again!

Goal for this upcoming week:
Really get in those 8 cups of water a day!

I have struggled SO MUCH to get in 8 cups of water a day, my goal for last week, so it’s up here again as my goal for this week. I got in about 5-6 cups all last week so I think I can do it, I’m pretty close, but oh is it hard for me!

So I received my Nutrisystem success starter pack on Wednesday, and decided to wait until today to start, so I could have weekends off.  Now that you have competed that first week, what did you see as far as weight loss?  I know all people are different but just curious what I could expect after week 1.

Good luck with your diet.   My friend tried the system and didn't care for the food.  I need to lose some weight and think it is important to plan out your meals and snacks ahead of time.  As for drinking water, remember that it is 8 - 8 ounce glasses of water and that regular size drinking classes are 12 - 16 ounces...maybe you are drinking more water than you think.  My problem was always remembering how much I drank.  I would take 8 small magnets and put them on one side of the fridge and as I finished a glass I would move it over to the other side.  Also putting the glass in a location that you pass by throughout the day makes it easy to take drinks as you are moving about the house.
