Summer with Sam’s Club – My First Trampoline Review

We live in a housing development and have a really small lot with hardly any room to play. My boys have asked for a trampoline for years and I knew we just wouldn’t have room for a full sized trampoline as it would take up our entire yard. I also worried about the safety of my boys climbing on and off of the trampoline with a full sized model since they are still so little. I love shopping at Sam’s Club and I am there almost weekly to purchase groceries. Every time I go in I see the “My First Trampoline” up on display and thought, “That is just perfect for my little boys and my small backyard.” I was thrilled to have the opportunity to try out this smaller sized kids trampoline to review.

My First Trampoline Review

The My First Trampoline measures 88″ making it the perfect size for our backyard! It is a lot smaller than full sized trampolines but still has lots of room to jump and play. My kids have gone outside just to jump every day, several times a day since we set up the trampoline about a month ago.

The trampoline instructions specifically state the trampoline should be used with only one child at a time and with a weight limit of 100 lbs. Of course, my boys are close in age and used to doing everything together so they still jump together but we talk about rules such as no pushing, watching out for each other, and not getting rowdy on the trampoline. Plus, together they are just under the 100 lb maximum.

My boys spend most of their time jumping and burning off all the energy that little boys are made of but they have also come up with unique and fun games they play. In the picture above they are playing their “corner” game similar in concept to a musical chairs where they each run to grab a corner.

Toddler Trampoline Review

My youngest doesn’t play on the trampoline yet but I wanted to show you behind the screen so you can see how much room there is on the trampoline. So, I had all of the boys sit down and let their baby brother lay with them for a quick picture. The My First Trampoline is a lot larger than a mini exercise trampoline but no where near as big as a full sized trampoline. Perfect for a first kids trampoline when you have young kids and limited space.

My First Trampoline Review

I also really appreciate that the trampoline isn’t as far off of the ground which makes it really easy for even my 2.5 year old to get on and off of the trampoline by himself. He can’t quite do the zipper closure by himself but my oldest two boys at 4.5 and 6.5 can and have been really good about keeping the zipper shut whenever they climb onto the trampoline to keep them safe. The enclosure is very well made and catches the kids really well whenever they have jumped out of the bounds or fallen off balance. Plus, the thick pads keep them from being exposed to any springs.

You can find My First Trampoline available at your local Sam’s Club or online at SamsClub.com! This kids trampoline is geared for children ages 3-10 and up to 100 lbs. It retails for $139.98.

I received a My First Trampoline in exchange for this post. The opinions expressed above are my own. Any claims should be verified on the sponsor’s site.

My sister has been looking for a trampoline for her kids, I think this one would be perfect! She lives in a townhome so there is limited space in the yard, but she's got 3 young kids who have more energy than they know what to do with!

Bought one for my 2 grand babies 1 month ago. Quailty and safety looked good. It has two holes in where it appears the material has melted in the texas heat. Its going back.

I LOVE this.. my kids always asked for a Trampoline and I never would let them play on one, I was afraid that they fall off, I love the safety feature on this and it looks big enough for a few kids but small enough to keep on a porch..love it. Thanks for sharing.
