Tips to Better Your Bathroom Hygiene!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Cottonelle.

It’s always been taboo to talk about your trips to the bathroom, understandably so, but when there are new ways of doing things, it is important that we are able to start talking about it and make the changes that can improve our routine. A few years back, hygiene wipes started to become regularly available for adult use. This opened up a whole new way to look at your bathroom hygiene, if you took the opportunity to give them a try!

Build a Better Bathroom Routine

Doesn’t it make sense that we all could benefit from a cleansing cloth from time to time? Cottonelle has made their Flushable Cleansing Cloths to work together with toilet paper to give you the cleaning you need, no matter the task at hand. They are hoping to break the barriers of talking about the bathroom, even if talking about bathroom habits can be embarrassing, in order to introduce a better way to get clean. They have partnered with Cherry Healey to get the conversation going and you can join in on the conversation on the Cottonelle Facebook page.

We had a chance to take on the challenge of making our bathroom routine better. I have tried cleansing cloths in the past, but the container felt just like a baby wipes container, they were folded and not easy to dispense, and they always felt really cold and strange to use. I was so thrilled to see the new sleek container that is upright and with easy dispensing! No longer does the container look out of place in my bathroom but instead fits in great and isn’t something I need to be ashamed of. There are many times when a cleansing cloth just make bathroom trips faster and, well, cleaner! While they might seem weird to use at first, I actually really like them! Plus, for us women, they will be a “must” when our monthly comes around.

Bathroom Storage Option

Tips to Better Your Bathroom Hygiene

  • Keep a steady supply – Nothing is worse then sitting down on the throne only to realize you are out of toilet paper! Keep extra rolls near by and check your supply once a week while tackling your bathroom cleaning tasks. You can store your extra rolls on top of your toilet tank, in a nearby cabinet, or even just stack them nicely back in the corner behind the bowl.
  • Wash those hands – It’s really important to make sure you wash your hands every time you go to the bathroom. Washing your hands keeps germs away so even if you don’t feel like your hands are dirty from your bathroom trip, wash them anyways – it’s the perfect time to clear away any germs!
  • Use Toilet Paper and Cleansing Cloths – Keep your options open by having both toilet paper and flushable cleansing cloths on hand. Then, no matter the pit stop, you’ll have what you need near by for quick and easy clean up that will get you truly clean.
  • Keep your throne clean – Make sure toilet scrubbing is on your household chores list every week! Wash down the toilet with a wash cloth or toilet brush and be sure to disinfect as well.
