Cheers for Flying With a Baby & Apology Printable

You know how it feels, you’ve been trapped on an airplane with a crying baby before. Maybe you’ve even had to travel with your own little children before. It can be frustrating for everyone. The parents are under immense pressure to keep their little one contained in just as much room as their lap with nowhere to roam. Add that combination with long travel time, changes in altitude, and complete over stimulation with all the new sights, sounds, and people around.

This post is sponsored by JetBlue. All opinions are my own.

But flying with a baby on-board isn’t always bad news. JetBlue wanted to make a flight full of crying babies rewarding, and put on a challenge for one lucky flight, because they truly get it. It’s hard for everyone. I loved how they turned around what could have been a difficult flight and made everyone cheer and clap as the little ones cried.

Thank you, JetBlue, for changing the perception of flying with a baby. From this mom and all other moms, from the bottom of our hearts. It’s time to change the perspective of having a baby on-board and let’s help, cheer, and praise those parents for undergoing such a difficult trip and caring for our next generation.

Visit JetBlue to see how friendly traveling with kids can be with their airline, including travel tips, airport maps, and helpful information you’ll need for traveling with an infant or sending a young child on a flight alone.

We paired the printable with: crackers, candy, chocolate, gum, and a band-aid. You could also add a single pack of ibuprofen or disposable ear plugs to further lighten the mood!

Once you’ve put together your goody bags, you’ll take them along to put them out on the seats surrounding you during the flight. Since you’ll have early boarding with an infant, you’ll be able to get ready for your spot and pass out goodies before your unlucky (or lucky!) seatmates arrive. Don’t forget the passengers directly behind and in front of your row.

  1. I do think it’s kind of sad that mothers feel the need to do this sort of thing. But, I love the printable and idea behind it. Such a kind gesture!

  2. Love this printable! I have a friend that will be flying soon with a new baby, I’m going to share this post with her. I know she’ll love it!

  3. This is an interesting idea. Flying is hard and sometimes babies need to travel. People would enjoy their flights more if they realized this and cut the baby and parents some slack.

  4. That is such a great idea! I love it! I have actually never been in a plane before, but if I go sometime when my girls are still little I’d love to make one of these. So neat!

  5. WE had a mother give one like this to us recently! Thought it was so cool, but she was worried for nothing. The baby slept through the whole flight!

  6. This is a great idea. I always feel bad for the Mom when i am on a flight and a little one is fussy. I know what it feels like for the parent.

  7. This is such a cute idea! I have never flown with my kids because I think it would majorly stress me out if they were bad or scared.

  8. This is such a cute idea, I have not flown enough to know what it is like to fly with a baby of my own or be on a plane with someone who has a baby, but love this campaign!

  9. I’ve been on a few flights with my kids where these apology letters would have come in handy! So glad that Jet Blue makes family travels so accommodating!

  10. It is hard on everyone, especially the parents of the children/babies. We rarely fly and refused to fly at all when our kids were really little because we did not want to stress them out for a long period. Now that they are older things might change. There are so many great headphones that reduce/cancel noise that it is easy for non-child fliers to help themselves have a more relaxed flight.

  11. That’s a great idea. When we were leaving Disney a few years ago our flight was cancelled and we were put on a different flight. We were not able to sit all together, so my two older kids (7 and 6 at the time) sat together and my husband sat across the row. My son chatted with the lady sitting next to him so much the my husband payed for all her drinks.
