Drug Free Morning Sickness Remedies

Morning Sickness…these two words make me cringe. When I was pregnant with my son, I had “morning sickness” 24/7 for the entire 9 months. In fact, I was still throwing up in the hospital as I gave birth to my son. Although the life of my toddler was extremely worth being so sick, let’s just say that pregnancy does not bring back pleasant memories.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Sea-Band Mama. The opinions and text are all mine.

Although my morning sickness didn’t really go away until I gave birth, I did find a few things that helped ease the nausea. Are you experiencing the joys of morning sickness? Hopefully you can find relief through these natural morning sickness remedies.

Keep a full stomach: This can be extremely tough when you don’t feel like eating. However, keeping the perfect amount of food in your stomach can help with the nausea. It’s important not to get too full or let yourself become hungry. Eat small and frequent meals throughout your day.

Eat what sounds good: Eat foods that sound appealing. You’re more likely to be able to keep food down if it sounds good to you. Even if it isn’t the healthiest food, eating what sounds good is better than starving your body. When I was pregnant, I craved some pretty weird things: gummy worms, pickles, waffles (just to name a few). I found that if I ate the things that sounded good, they stayed in my stomach longer.

Chew gum: If you’re feeling a bit queasy, try popping in a piece of spearmint gum. Spearmint gum is shown to help with gag reflexes.

Ice Packs: I know this may sound weird, but when I was nauseous, sometimes it helped to lay down with an ice pack on my head or behind my neck. Give it a try, see if you can feel the relief!

Sea-Bands: The new Sea-Band Mama just launched new drug-free, natural products to help ease the burden of morning sickness. Feel the relief of nausea by wearing a Sea-Band Wrist Band or sucking on their Ginger Lozenges. Sea-Band Mama Wrist Bands are amazing! Using pressure points in the wrist, the band applies continuous pressure which prevents and relieves nausea. The best part about this band is that there are absolutely no side-effects, it’s completely natural!

THis is a brilliant idea and if it works would certainly be a life saver. I can tell you I used these sea bands on a cruise and they worked fabulous.

Ah what a great option for morning sickness. I would just keep on eating and eating to try to ease it but then ended up gaining 50lbs each time.
