10 Messy Ways For Kids To Have Fun

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Maytag. All opinions are 100% mine.

When I become a mother I fully underestimated the amounts of messes my kids would make. Other than messy faces after diner and spilling of the occasional glass of juice I figured the messes would be pretty manageable. Pretty naive right!? Three kids later I know that kids can make even the cleanest activities a complete disaster, can you say bath time!?

Since moving to Alaska, my little family has been introduced to a whole new level of messy. From rainy days to muddy hikes we have been having a blast with all of our new experiences. Let’s face it, a lot of the time getting messy=having fun. Our current favorite way to get messy? Picking raspberries. Alaska is home to thousands and thousands of wild berry bushes. It is amazing. Our friends have raspberry bushes that run along their fence and they just can’t keep up with all of the delicious ripe berries! We headed over there this weekend to help them out.

From grass stains to accidentally kneeling and even sitting in some fresh raspberries, the picking process what quite a mess and they still had to be eaten! It is amazing how much damage those little berries can do!

Thank goodness for Maytag’s newest Top Load Washer & Dryer pair! It is better built because they are designed, engineered and assembled in America and have the power to clean big league stains. Because my kids love to get filthy while playing, we have to have the heavy duty cleaning power to back it up!

Maytag and MLB  are teaming up to bring fans new programs that enhance their connection to America’s national pastime, baseball, by asking the fans to submit their own “Filthy Plays”. Here are a 10 ways my kids LOVE to get filthy:

  1. Playing Baseball.
  2. Playing in the rain.
  3. Building mud villages.
  4. Digging for bugs.
  5. Playing at the beach.
  6. Going for a hike.
  7. Playing Soccer.
  8. Art Projects.
  9. Sidewalk chalk.
  10. Dirt bike riding.
