I remember waking up one day and realizing I’m 30 years old. That was six years ago. It’s really kind of amazing how quickly time flies. I also remember the first time I looked in the mirror and really noticed how my skin had changed. It wasn’t as tight, or glowy, it had wrinkles and spots. I realized at that moment I should have been taking better care of my skin, and that I needed to make some changes.
I was provided a sample and compensated for this post. All opinions are my own.
Taking care of your skin in your 30’s is super important. Why? Because you will soon be 40 and so on, and you really want to feel your best for as long as you can.
Here are some tips for taking care of your skin in your thirties.
Seriously use moisturizer. I’ve noticed that my skin is dryer than it was in my youth (when it was super oily) uses moisturizer in the morning and at night will keep your skin supple and vibrant.
Water is essential. Hydrating your skin really starts by drinking enough water. Increase your intake during the summer, when it’s hotter. Remember to drink water in the winter, when you may not “feel” thirsty. Your whole body will feel better and look better from the inside out.
Sun, Sun, Sun
I spoke to my sister in law, she works for a great dermatoligist in the area. I asked her what was something people never, ever remember. She said “Most people don’t realize that you can still get uva and uvb rays through windows, that’s why a lot of people who are the main drivers tend to have more damage on their left sides and vice versa. Also, reapplying sun screen every two hours when your outside, more frequently if your in the water, the bottle will say how often. Avoid peak hours between 10-4. Sun damage is all cumulative, any sun burns you got as a kid will add to your sun damage as an adult
And, when it comes to sun screen, try to stick to one’s with physical blockers like zinc and titanium instead of using chemical blockers. They are better for you in the long run and less people will have a reaction to them. And if you have sensitive skin, you can still use baby sun screen and it will be just as effective. And use at least an spf 30 or above”
Check Your Skin
You shouldn’t be getting any new moles after about 30. Anything new or changing, darker or just different than your other spots, anything that bleeds on its own needs to be checked. If a spot that’s been there forever started getting dark spots in it, growing, or sending out fingers it needs to be checked. If something questionable comes up that doesn’t resolve in about a month needs to be checked. And trust your intuition, anything you just get a funny feeling about should be checked. Melanoma can be any color and is not always raised, and it can come up in an already existing healthy spot. Melanoma can come up anywhere head to toe, bottoms of the feet, genitals, under nails, mouth, eyes. And if you have a history or family history of melanoma, you should get regular dental and eye exams and let them know about your history. But, also, when caught early enough skin cancer, including melanoma, can easily be treated by just a surgery to remove it.
There are many amazing products to help repair the damage that may have already been done to your skin by the time you hit your thirties (and above). There are products to tone, define, lift…you name it. One of the coolest products I got to try was Beverly Hills MD, Lift + Firm Sculpting Cream.

When I look in the mirror, it’s like I see arrows pointing to the problems with my skin. I’m not even talking about the normal acne related stuff (seriously though, we all thought that would go away when we got older, right?) I’m seeing all the years. I see the lines by my eyes, under my eyes, by my mouth…my sagging jawline. Ugh.
I recently started using Beverly Hills MD Lift + Firm Sculpting Cream, and although I haven’t used it long enough to see a ton of changes, I have noticed tighter feeling skin on my face. My skin has a refreshed and soft feeling…and I didn’t have any reaction to the product whatsoever. Considering the amount of product I have had to throw away because it makes my skin break out like a teenager before prom, I feel this is a huge win! In fact, it’s one of the reasons I neglected my skin for so long, I hated the skin breakouts. With Beverly Hills MD Lift + Firm Sculpting Cream, I didn’t get any negative reactions at all. I also really like the smell of Beverly Hills MD Lift + Firm Sculpting Cream. It doesn’t have an overpowering smell that many facial creams have. It is soft and pleasant, and goes on without leaving a oily residue. It’s like your skin drinks it in.
I’m really looking forward to the effects of continually using Beverly Hills MD Lift + Firm Sculpting Cream. I know it’s going to be great!
