Yogurt Popsicles Recipe!

Safeway is celebrating National Dairy Month throughout all of June by offering great specials and promotions on many dairy items throughout their stores! So, what better way to enjoy some dairy then outdoors while the weather is beautiful!

My boys have favorite dairy products are GoGurt and string cheese, which make for great snacks, so we camped out in the backyard and enjoyed! More recently it has begun to get hotter outside so we whipped up a great Yogurt Popsicle recipe and it gave us an excuse to get outside but keep cool with a sweet, healthy, and delicious treat! Here is the recipe I use! We use orange juice as I always have that on hand.

Yogurt Popsicles

1 cup Vanilla Yogurt (low-fat works well)
1 Banana (Sliced)
1 cup fruit juice or fresh fruit (chunks)

Blend up the ingredient, pour into paper cups or a popsicle mold and freeze overnight! If you use paper cups, then add a stick when the popsicles are half frozen and run hot water over the bottom of the cup until the popsicle easily slides out. Save the cup to give your child a place to put the popsicle down.

#SafewayDairy Month

Dairy is so important to my family as with three little boys that grow so quickly they really need the calcium that comes in dairy products! They don’t drink a lot of milk these days so I do make an effort to get them dairy through yogurt, cheese, sour cream, and other ways! This recipes gives an great way to make dairy a special treat the kids will be excited to eat!
