Teach Your Daughter Self-Esteem!

This post is brought to you by Lunchbox.

I can recall the awkward tween years growing up and going through many big life changes and trying to feel comfortable with who I was becoming. There’s that last few moments of innocence as we children grow up from depending on our parents to wanting to do everything on our own and depending on friends. That’s why, I fully believe that it is so very important to teach your daughter self-esteem. They need to know it’s okay to be who they are and that they are beautiful for their differences. They don’t need to be like anyone else. Here’s a picture from me when I was 12. I can see a young child and innocence in this picture of me.

Walmart has an inspiring video that can reinforce how important it is to teach these young girls both self-confidence and self-esteem. It’s crazy to watch the clip and know how easy it is to relate to. Head over to the Dove Walmart landing page to check out that video. While you’re there, you can also grab a free discussion guide to help you get the conversation started with your own daughter!
