Ease Car Backing Up Worries with Back Up Better!

Have you ever been concerned when trying to backup that there might be a child, or something, behind you that you just can’t see? When I bought my very first car I purchased it from a dealership that restores salvaged title cars. Their lot was crowded and it was very difficult to see. Before I even left the sales lot, I ended up backing right into a long trailer hitch that was completely out of my view as it was angled down and on the ground. It didn’t do any real damage to my car or the hitch, but I still was nervous driving that car every day that I owned it since that first day. That car is long gone but now as I am a busy mom with three active little boys, I worry about the kids, balls, bikes, you name it as I try to leave our driveway. Back Up Better provides solutions to ease your concerns and help you see better out your rear window and side mirrors.

According to a study by KidsAndCars.org, “In the U.S. at least fifty (50) children are being backed over by vehicles EVERY week. Forty-eight (48) are treated in hospital emergency rooms and at least two (2) children are fatally injured… The predominant age of victims is 12-23 months.” Check out these two great products by Back Up Better that are simple to install and can make a huge difference in your visibility!

Back Up Better Rearview Lenses

The Rearview Lens is a thin and flexible plastic lense that can be installed to the inside of your rear window using water. This lens can later be repositioned or removed completely as needed. They more than double your rear view allowing you to decrease or completely eliminate blindspots. For some people blind spots go as far back as 20′ or more!

Back Up Better Add-On Blind Spot Mirrors

These simple to apply Add-On mirrors give you more than 200% increase in your side and rear view. They attach with peel & stick adhesives and are sold as a pair to be attached to both the driver and passenger side mirrors. Check out the difference of view with an Add-On Blind Spot Mirror!

Back Up Better’s solutions are very affordable! The Add-On Blind Spot Mirrors are just $6.99 a pair for small to mid-size vehicles or $12.99 a pair for mid-size and larger vehicles or trucks. The Rearview Lenses can be added for just $14.99 for an 8″ x 10″ lens. A larger 11″ x 14″ lens is also available for larger cars for $23.99. Ease your worries about backing up safely with one or both of these affordable solutions!

  1. If we had a mini van or something this would be great.  We only have a couple cars that don’t have many blind spots, but if we did these seem like they would help a lot.  We have quite a few kids that play on our street, or people that walk their pets.

  2. i’d love to try this–it seems like this should come standard on every new vehicle now a days!

  3. I really need to get these. I know some of the new cars have cameras for this built in but since I don’t have one of those cars & won’t for a long time so I love that there is an inexpensive but effective way to improve safety. Can’t argue with that!

  4. i like this idea, i also like that they are adding the back up cameras on less expensive cars. however, it always irks me when you are backing up, the car is moving and people walk right behind you. i think that is their fault if they get hit…you dont walk behind a moving car just like walking in front of ongoing traffic, which someone did to me yesterday, the light was green, the cars were moving and she walks right out in front of everyone….

  5. This is SUCH a great idea for cars that don’t have back up cameras!  I am always terrified that one of my kids is playing on the driveaway and I can’t see them when I back up.

  6. I think this is a wonderful idea. Accidents like this are tragically common and anything that can assist in preventing them is an invaluable tool.

  7. This is such a great idea, every care should have one of these to prevent an awful accident! I love that they are so affordable and so easy to install!!
