5 Baby Items I Never Leave Home Without

Having three kids under the age of five sometimes makes getting out of the house tricky. I could easily pack a suitcase each time I leave, but that is so unrealistic. I have become pretty good and paring down what we pack with us for outings. Here are the five things I absolutely never leave home without:

I received compensation and samples for this post. All ideas and opinions are my own.

Wipes- Just like I talked about here, wipes can be pretty much used for anything. I keep some in my purse and a full package in my car at all times. I thought when my older kids were out of the baby stage I would not need them anymore. I was so wrong. I think I need them now more than ever!

Kid Friendly Water Bottle- Just like you need to stay hydrated, your baby does too! I always bring a water bottle that can be refilled with me. You never know when you are going to get stuck out and about running errands. It is always nice to have a kid friendly cup along for the ride. Have you ever been out to eat and have the waiter tell you they don’t have children’s cups? You will be happy you have one with you.

Baby food

Food Pouch/Snacks- Hangry babies are tough to handle. I always have food stashed in my bag somewhere. A food pouch is a great solution because they are healthy, convenient, and less messy than other snacks. Plus, even my bigger kids love them. I love the ingredient list on Simple Truth’s Organic Food Pouches. My baby is a huge fan. See all the other reasons we love food pouches here.

Board Book- Nothing entertains my babies like a book. Especially one that features animals. They love to look at them independently but they can also climb up in my lap while we wait at the pediatrician’s office, or wherever, and we can read it together.

Diapers- This one is pretty obvious, but until you have been stuck running errands or at an event without an extra diaper, then you get why I always triple check for these bad boys when I pack a bag. I keep and extra package of them in the trunk of the car as well. You just never know! Once I had a friend get stuck in traffic behind an accident for hours! They ran out of diapers and had to run on foot to get more. Having extra in the car is ALWAYS a good idea.

Have you tried Simple Truth Diapers? You can find them at your local Kroger store. Simple Truth Diapers are comfortable for baby and gentle on the environment. They are made with renewable, plant based resources and totally chlorine free pulp to be gentle on your baby’s skin. My favorite thing about them is how affordable they are.

What are your five “can’t leave the house without” items?

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Kroger. The opinions and text are all mine.

I love this list and would also add an extra outfit and some sort of plastic toy. My kids were also little blanket snugglers so we always had to have them on hand.

My little sister is an Usborne consultant and we got those Muddle and Match books from her. We LOVE them! This is a great list of items to take along everywhere!

The snacks and board books are things we can never leave at home. The kid/car friendly water bottle is also really useful too.

Diaper bags are so much easier to stock now days than when my kids were dinky. I remember the original wet wipes in this cylinder container with a sharp star shaped opening on the top. I can't tell you how many times I go my fingers stuck in that horrible opening.
