What Are Your Home “Must Haves”?

We’ve been in our current home for over 7 years now. My husband and I both absolutely love our home with it’s open floor plan, 4 bedrooms, and really nice feel and space. However, our family has grown by leaps and bounds over the 7 years we’ve been married by welcoming 4 little boys into our home. Each time a new little one joins our family I feel more and more crowded and our small home is now starting to feel a bit past its time. My parents moved back to Arizona a few months ago and have been doing their own search for a home to purchase which has made me really think a lot about what I would want in a new home. I thought this would be a fun topic to discuss. Are there things that drive you crazy about your current home? For me, one of the biggest things I wish I could change is the long and skinny family room that makes it hard to find a great arrangement for our couches. The other things I would change are pretty minimal. My next house will definitely have a tub in my Master Bathroom, a larger backyard, and I’m dreaming of a laundry room large enough for a countertop to make all the daily laundry so much easier to tackle!

What are the “must have” aspects that your home would have to have if you were looking for a new home to purchase?

  1. One thing that I do not like about my house is that there is no closets in every room. And the storage room is too small. I also do not like that my house has a small kitchen. I like a big kitchen to put my table in!
