Waffle Quake Sundae Recipe

If you just woke up and forgot what day it is today, let me be the first to remind you! Today is April Fools day! We will be celebrating today because it is also the 3rd Anniversary of A Mom’s Take! That’s right, three years ago today I started this blog and it’s been a whirlwind ever since! I will be celebrating my bloggy birthday this week with fun and unique waffle recipes! Of course, there’s no better way to celebrate then with dessert! So, we’re starting the week off right! Here’s a fun recipe and my celebratory blog birthday sundae!

Easy Waffle Sundae Creation the See the "Waffle Quake" Recipe at A Mom's Take

Waffle Quake Sundae Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Eggo Waffles
  • Breyer’s Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Cookies, Crushed
  • Chocolate Syrup
  • Whipped Topping

How to make a Waffle Quake Sundae Recipe

Directions:

  1. Toast your Eggo Waffles until lightly toasted.
  2. While your Eggo’s toast, scoop two big scoops of Breyer’s Vanilla Ice Cream into a bowl.
  3. Crumble your favorite cookies and sprinkle the crumbles onto your ice cream. We used Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies, but I can think of a few other great varieties that would be delicious!
  4. When your Eggo’s are ready, cut them into small bite size pieces. Add about one-half of an Eggo Waffle’s worth of bite sized bits to your Sundae.
  5. Drizzle the top of your sundae with chocolate syrup and top with whipped topping.

Challenge Me!

Since we will be celebrating all week with fun waffle recipes, I’m opening up one of my recipes to include a special ingredient that you would like to see me try to include in a recipe this week! So, make it fun, make it difficult, make it crazy – you name it! Let me know in the comments what special ingredient you would like to see in me incorporate this week!

Eggo is hosting a recipe contest where you can submit your own creative recipes using Eggo Waffles for a chance to win $5,000 or one of the runner up prizes! Head on over to find inspiration or enter your own recipe in The Great Eggo Waffle Off Contest!

  1. Oh my gosh, that looks so good!
    I would love to see it incorporated into a dinner dish-but NOT breakfast(;
