GroVia Cloth Diapers takes a modern approach to cloth diapering with their one-size AIO and Hybrid diapers! Their Hybrid diapering system can be used with their Organic Cotton soaker pads for an AI2 designed diaper that allows you to change out the soakers and continue to use the shells until the shell becomes soiled or saturated. Alternatively, you can use their BioSoakers for vacationing, day care, errands, etc as an eco-friendly alternative to disposable diapers. Their BioSoakers are biodegradable and made from compostable materials! Their AIO One-Sized diapers feature an attached, yet separate soaker that saves on drying time but still avoids the need to stuff diapers or use doublers. It offers a trim design that grows with your baby. Their AIO diapers were named as Babble.com pick for the Best Cloth Diapers for 2011 along with 3 others awards!
I was able to review GroVia’s Experience Package which includes 2 GroVia Shells and 4 GroVia Organic Cotton Soaker Pads! I typically go for snap closure diapers but GroVia diapers closure looked so different and unique I just had to try it out. Plus, I LOVE the contrasting panel at the top and on the tabs which is only on the hook & loop closure. I’m not positive what the fabric is but it feels like a really high quality felt and very soft! The hook & loop closure is a bit more of a pain when going to put on the baby as it is very grabby to the felt so it takes a bit of effort to remove it under the laundry tab but it does a great job holding the diaper on tight and in place and I haven’t had any problems with diaper chains in the wash! The inside of the shell is a soft mesh-like material.
I absolutely love these diapers! They take up so much less space in my wetbag and diaper bag and really have done an awesome job so far!! I haven’t had a single leak and my son has even worn them overnight! The soaker pad has done a really good job at containing messes the majority of the time so even with a #2 diaper I could still reuse the shell most of the time, but not every time. Other than #2 changes though, I was able to reuse the shells the remainder of the day with just switching out the soaker pad! The soaker pad is backed with a waterproof layer so when it is saturated it doesn’t make the shell itself wet which is very nice! The soakers do take a bit longer to dry then my microfiber inserts, but they are also much more absorbent. These diapers are such a great fit and by far the CUTEST diapers in my entire stash!! I always save these diapers for my diaper bag as they are SO much trimmer as I can grab 1 shell and 3 soakers instead of 3 complete diapers.
Now through the end of August GroVia has a promotion running on their Ice (Blue) and Cosmos (Pink) diapers! Buy 2 and get 1 free from their Newborn AIO, One-size AIO, or single shells! Their AIO One-Size diapers retail for $22.95 and their GroVia Experience Package with 2 shells and 4 soaker pads retails for $66.
