DK Publishing’s legendary Eyewitness Series includes more than 120 eye-catching books that would be a great addition to every home. Some of the topics include: Civil War, Weather, Inventions, American Revolution, and Space Exploration. The Eyewitness Series has grown to become the “most trusted non-fiction series written for kids”. Selling more than 20 million copies, their books are included in almost every school library, classroom, and public library. The newest titles of the Eyewitness Series include a clip-art disc and a poster to help the learning continue beyond the reading the book. Two of their newest titles are “Flight” and “Predator”. “Flight” focuses on the ever changing world of aircraft and has amazing stories and pictures about the history of flight. “Predator” focuses on the world of predatory animals and includes hundreds of facts and cool pictures about these fascinating animals.
My kids LOVE these books! I know they are typically for ages 8-12 but my two-year-old’s favorite is the “Predator” book. He calls it the “scary book”. We have literally read it everyday this week. He is slowly learning the name of every animal in the book. He started out calling every bug a “cockroach” but now he is saying scorpion, spider, fly, etc. The pictures are fantastic and I really don’t mind reading the same book over and over, especially when I am learning so much! I love reading the facts about each animal while he looks at the pictures. My eight-year-old really enjoys the “Flight” book and has started asking about the different kinds of airplanes and jets that frequently fly over our house. I learned a lot in the “Flight” book as well. Eyewitness Books are perfect for kids and adults of all ages and are a great addition to our ever growing library!
