Copycat Kneaders French Toast + Caramel Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1 loaf of cinnamon bread
  • 6-8 eggs
  • 1½ cups whole milk
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp agave
Directions:
  1. Slice cinnamon bread into 6-8 thick slices, set aside.
  2. Combine eggs, whole milk, nutmeg and agave into a deep dish, whisking to mix. (Use one egg per slice of bread)
  3. Add a tablespoon of butter in a cast iron skillet, allow to start to melt.
  4. Dunk a slice of cinnamon bread into the egg/milk batter coating both sides of the bread. Then, place into the skillet. Allow the first side to brown, then flip and cook the second side. Be careful to not overcook either side.
  5. You can keep your french toast warm while you fry each additional slice by adding your cooked slices onto a cookie sheet lined with a piece of parchment paper and covering the cookie sheet in foil. Place the cookie sheet in the oven at 225 and add each slice as they finish frying. When all your slices are ready, pull out of the oven, serve and enjoy!
