Strawberry Mousse Recipe
 
 
Full of flavor, and easy to whip together, everyone will love this strawberry mousse layered recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1 package Unflavored Gelatin
  • 2½ cup Fresh Strawberries
  • Juice of ½ Fresh Lemon
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1½ cups Whipping Cream
Directions:
  1. Wash, hull and slice your strawberries. Puree the strawberries in a food processor.
  2. Strawberry Layer: Scoop 1 cup of strawberry puree into a small sauce pan and simmer until thickened. Set aside to cool.
  3. Strawberry Mousse Layer: Pour ¼ cup of cold water into a glass measuring cup and sprinkle gelatin over it. Allow the gelatin to set for 2 minutes. Microwave on high for 40 seconds, then stir. Allow to stand another 2 minutes. Whip up ¾ cup of whipping cream until it can stand in a peak. Add lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of sugar to the remaining strawberry puree. Gently whip the gelatin mixture, then combine with the strawberry and lemon juice mixture. Fold into your whipped cream until thoroughly mixed together.
  4. Whipped Cream Layer: Prepare the remaining whipping cream using the remaining ½ cup sugar and ¾ cup heavy whipping cream, beating together until it forms stiff peaks.
  5. Layer your dessert alternating strawberry mousse, strawberry puree, and whipping cream. Garnish with a strawberry and serve!
