Pair this yummy smelling scrub with a night off and a hot bath drawn for her (or for you!!) to allow her to truly unwind and de-stress away from all the struggles that life can bring. It is a welcome treat to unwind through spring and summer!
DIY Cherry Almond Sugar Scrub
Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup almond oil
- 1 teaspoon cherry extract or 1/2 teaspoon cherry flavoring
- 4 drops Vitamin E oil
Directions:
In a medium mixing bowl, add the sugar and almond oil. Stir until well blended. (If you don’t have almond oil, you can substitute olive oil).
Add the cherry extract/flavoring. There will be a slight reddish tint to the flavoring. This will give the scrub a very pretty pinkish tint. Mix until well incorporated.
Add the vitamin E drops and stir well.
Transfer to an airtight container up to 3 months.
How to use your sugar scrub:
Wet skin in the shower and generously apply the cherry sugar scrub. Gently rub in a circular motion to allow the sugar granules to exfoliate any dry or dead skin and the almond oil to moisturize.
Rinse with warm water. Pat dry with a towel. Apply your favorite moisturizer.
I hope you take the time to show the sisters, mothers, grandmothers, teachers, friends, coworkers and other important women in your life how much you appreciate them for their caring, strength, and the help they may have given you over the years. Really, that’s what this is all about. Showing our appreciation and love for them not only on special occasions but every other day of the year, too!
How do you like to unwind after a stressful day?
