I received Canyon Bakehouse Gluten-Free Bread products in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.
Over the past several years, I have been working on understanding my own body. There have been periods of time when I have completely cut breads out of my diet. When doing this, I always have a since of deprivation, yet not eating all the processed Gluten filled foods makes may body stop hurting. When my joints don’t ache, and my head is not full of congestion, I feel good. For me, giving up breads to feel good has been a really hard choice. I have tried a few gluten-free bread items in the past and been very disappointed.
Canyon Bakehouse and their Gluten-Free Breads has changed my outlook on life. I can now eat really delicious tasting, soft and chewy textured breads without feeling bad. They have several varieties to choose from.
For sandwich sliced breads you can choose from 7 Grain, Cinnamon Raisin, Deli Rye Style, Mountain White. We Really love our Grilled sandwiches, so it is important to us if they toast up nicely and these all get a nice crisp texture and have great flavor.
You can see that the Cinnamon Raisin has a really nice amount of raisins per slice. The children loved all of these breads. This one was great for breakfast toast. We also used it for a PBJ sandwich and that was a winner too.
Canyon Bakehouse Rosemary & Thyme Focaccia is packed full of flavor. I sliced it 1/2 inch thin, layed it out on a baking pan, sprinkled it with just a little cheese then melted it for lunch. They ate it all without any complaints. Out of all of their offerings, I found the texture on this bread was a bit soft.
Canyon Bakehouse Hamburger buns. I love a good hamburger, but without the bun you just don’t get the full effect. I was so excited to make burgers for dinner the other night. I spread mayo on my bun and grilled it, This was wonderful. The crispness, then the tender bun to encase my burger, yum! My husband had a burger also, without his bun being grilled first. He thought the texture was a bit soft.
Canyon Bakehouse Cranberry Crunch Muffins. These muffins are very tasty, they have a pound cake flavor to them. They also have a bit of a crunch when you eat them. We found these to be on the dryer side. I really enjoyed them with my coffee in the morning. I spread a thin bit of cream cheese frosting on them another time for snack for the children. Again, these were a hit.
Over all, we have really enjoyed the Canyon Bakehouse products that we were able to review. I would definitely suggest you give them a try. You can purchase them on the Canyon Bakehouse website, or find a store near you here. I was thrilled to see they sell them just down the road from me.
