3 Ways A Tablet Can Help During Pregnancy

I usually find out I’m expecting by my morning sickness. My morning sickness is fierce and non stop. I am usually so sick I am unable to do much more than make it to the bathroom and lay in bed. It starts around 5 weeks and continues until…well that varies. Sometimes all throughout the pregnancy and sometimes around 20 weeks. I’m now at 11 weeks of my 6th pregnancy and battling the sickness for the 6th time.

I was given a Nextbook Tablet in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.

Tablet Can help during pregnancyDuring my time stuck in bed, I’ve found a new love for my tablet. My tablet has become my pregnancy helper. Here are 5 ways a tablet can help during pregnancy.

Pregnancy Tracking

It’s wonderful to have technology to keep track of where you are at in your pregnancy. I found an app that shows me exactly where I am at in my pregnancy, my doctor’s appointment and even lets me track babies movement (although I don’t need this yet). It’s so cool to be able to pull up pictures of what the baby looks like right now for my kids.

Distraction

By far the best use for my tablet is distracting myself (as best I can) from my morning sickness. I use Netflix, Hulu etc. and entertainment is at the touch of my finger. I like being able to be in any position I want (like say laying on the bathroom floor) and watching the latest television show. My tablet has also been great for pulling up something to distract my itty bitties when I’m in the middle of getting sick. Nothing is worse than having an audience. Putting on a movie real quick for my toddler to watch instead of worrying over mommy has been great.

Business

Having a tablet PC with the availability of Windows has been great for business purposes. Not having to sit at a PC or a laptop to make a receipt for my husband’s business or work on a blog post has also been extremely helpful. It’s great to be able to pull up stuff right from my laptop on my tablet and complete something that needs to get done.

Shopping

We all know one of the super fun things about being pregnant is shopping for the latest and greatest baby gear. Having shopping available on my tablet has been so convenient. I’m able to see what I’m browsing because my screen in the perfect size.

Nextbook 8 The tablet that has been saving me from going crazy, is the Nextbook 8″ Tablet 16GB Windows 8.1. The Nextbook 8.1 Tablet is great for personal and business use. With a 10.1 multi-touch screen and Quad-Core Intel Atom Processor you know you are going to get what you need, fast. The Nextbook features an actual Windows Operating System, so you have the power of a PC literally in the palm of your hand.

Nextbook

Nextbook 8″ comes with 16GB of internal storage, but includes the ability to add memory via microSD, so you aren’t limited like you are by other big name tablets. Connecting to Bluetooh and Wifi is easier than ever and don’t forget the front and back camera with microphone so you can chat with friends anywhere via Skype.

I was able to set up my Nextbook within seconds and was so impressed to see the desktop of my laptop right in front of me. All my accounts, emails, etc. were all waiting for me. I’m able to use apps as well as regular programs like Microsoft Office! It’s so helpful to have what you need on your computer right on a tablet. Another thing I thought was awesome was the price. You would think you would have to spend hundreds on something like the Nextbook…nope! When Nextbook launched it was on sale for $99. That’s a price that can’t be beat!

Nextbook 8″ comes with a free one year subscription for Office 365 Personal that includes 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage and 60 Skype world minutes per month. Nextbook can be purchased at Sam’s Club, Wal-Mart, and Nextbook USA.
