Scarlett Cherry: Labor of Love Review & Giveaway

The night Scarlett Cherry found out she was pregnant with her first child her husband Lee said, “You should make a record!  You’re only a first time mother once in your life and we should document this amazing journey.”  That is the essence of the whole album written during the last six months of her pregnancy.  Scarlett Cherry’s main vocals were recorded during a 2-week period in her eighth month of pregnancy! With final touch ups on Jan. 27th, she went to the hospital Jan. 28th, and on Jan 29th Riff Maxwell Cherry was born!  Scarlett Cherry has an AMAZING voice that resonates with anyone who appreciates great music.

As a HUGE music lover I was so excited to get Scarlett Cherry’s new album!  The only setback was when I was opening the package I was in such a hurry to listen to the CD, I ripped the beautiful autographed picture that was included :(. I will have to be more careful next time!  I put on the CD while I was cooking dinner and three of my kids and my husband all asked me what I was listening to.  (they probably were shocked that it was something besides Glee) From hearing a heartbeat at the beginning to the ending track about how it takes a village to raise a child, it really takes you on a journey.  Scarlett Cherry’s beautiful lyrics really reminded me of the importance of our little ones, and that we need to embrace every moment we have with them.  They grow up so fast!  Labor of Love is an amazing album and would be a perfect gift for any new mother or mother to be.

Scarlett Cherry: Labor of Love can be purchased on iTunes and retails for $9.99.
