Rod Stewart “Merry Christmas, Baby” Album Review & Giveaway

Foster serves as producer and arranger of MERRY CHRISTMAS, BABY, which is set to arrive in stores on October 30th and is available for pre-order on iTunes today.

“I have always been tempted to do a Christmas album,” said Rod Stewart. “And now that I once again have young children, the timing couldn’t be better. Additionally, Merry Christmas, Baby gave me a chance to reunite with David Foster.” Added Foster, “And I’m thrilled that this is the first project for both of us on Verve.”

Review - I am SO excited for the holiday season and have to thank Rod Stewart for allowing it to come a little bit early for me this year!  I usually don’t break out all the Christmas music until after Halloween, but when I saw that I had a chance to check out “Merry Christmas, Baby,” I was thrilled! He should have made a Christmas album a long time ago!  This is going to sound terribly cheesy, but Rod has always had a special place in my heart since my husband of 10 years used to sing all of his love notes to me with HITYLTILY.  (that would be Have I Told You Lately That I Love You)  That became our “song” and I have adored his music ever since!  “Merry Christmas, Baby” has several of my favorite holiday songs and others that have become favorites after hearing Rod’s sultry voice put a new twist on them.  I LOVE the duet with Michael Bublé and the beautiful piano music in Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.  My kids really enjoyed the “Red-suited Super Man” and “When You Wish Upon a Star.”  “Merry Christmas, Baby” was the perfect CD for our family to kick off the upcoming holiday season!

Rod will be live on HSN on Friday, October 26 at 8:00 p.m. EST. Prior to the HSN Live Concert event, a special pre-show will stream live on HSN’s Facebook page at 7:30 p.m. EST. Check out exclusive behind-the-scenes access as Rod prepares to take the stage! For more information click here!
