Quick and Easy Milk Steamer Recipe

It is a chilly morning. You rub your eyes and stumble out of bed. If your house is like mine a crying baby or demanding toddler is involved. Once said child is happily eating breakfast, I love to grab my favorite mug and slippers and curl up with something warm to drink. I feel like most people have a favorite mug. The one they grab without even thinking or search for when you find it missing from the cupboard.

I received compensation for this post, all ideas and opinions are my own.

My mug of choice is an old favorite. It used to sit on my desk when I was school teacher. Every time I see it, I am reminded of all my cute students and how much I loved my career before starting my new job title of “mom”. I still get to teach daily, but my students never change anymore. I am so grateful for the seasons of life and the reminder of my past roles.

McCafe, newly partnered with Albertsons, wants to see and hear all about your favorite mug. Tell them a story about your favorite mug and pair it with a picture and you will be entered to win a year supply of McCafe Coffee!

To enter the contest visit the link to your local store, for me that is Albertsons. But it could be Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, Star Market, and Acme Markets for you. Click submit and choose a photo from your computer or social media. Upload your photo with your favorite mug and add a caption.  Now you are entered to win!

Milk Steamer

Now that you are thinking about your favorite mug, what is your favorite thing to put in it? At our house we love to make milk steamers, they are so easy and perfect for chilly mornings. Have you ever made a steamer before? It really is quite simple. Here is what you will need:

  • Milk (any kind will do, whole milk makes your drink more rich)
  • Coffee Creamer in your favorite flavor
  • Whip Cream
  • Sprinkles for fun

Pour your milk into a sauce pan. Heat slowly while whisking as you stir. The more you whisk, the more froth you will have. I like mine really frothy.

In the meantime prepare your mug. Add 2 Tbls of your favorite creamer flavor or combination of flavors  to the bottom of your mug. Hazelnut and vanilla are my go to flavors.

Once your milk it hot and frothy, pour into your mug and stir well. Top with whip cream and sprinkles. Everything is better with whip cream and sprinkles, right!?

Tell me about your favorite mug and your favorite thing to put in it!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Albertsons. The opinions and text are all mine.

About Aimee

My name is Aimee and I was lucky enough to meet my perfect match at age 15. We were married 6 years later and are parents to the cutest kiddos around. Our oldest son is a cautious, but outgoing, smarty pants with a little sister who has no fear and loves to push all his buttons. They are 19 months apart. Before becoming a stay at home mom I was a second grade teacher, and I loved every minute of it. Now I spend most of my day on the floor building trains, tucking in baby dolls, reading stories, and laughing my guts out with my own kids. I love to spend time with my family, travel, read, watch movies, be outdoors, and eat!
