Playing at the Beach on the Oregon Coast!

On our summer road trip, we encountered all kinds of smells! We traveled from Phoenix, Arizona up through Utah and on to Mount Rushmore before making our way west to stay in Washington for a week. Our trip continued by heading south along the Oregon and California coast. One of the most memorable scent-filled destinations from our trip was our short stop we made along our route to play on the coast.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Arm & Hammer. The opinions and text are all mine.

It rained nearly the entire day of our driving this particular day, but for a brief window of time the rain stopped just as we were passing a perfect spot to head down and play at the beach. We flipped a U-turn and headed right back to the pullout and all hopped out to play.

Because the day was cool and overcast, there was such a crisp, clean, and fresh scent in the air that surrounded us while we played. We had an amazing view of these awesome rocks jutting out of the ocean’s edge including one that formed a natural tunnel. My 3 year old absolutely loved running into the water’s edge and then running away as the waves approached and crashed at his feet. He was in absolute heaven.

Can’t you almost smell the ocean just looking at this picture? The salt, the sand, and the cool breeze of fresh air on your face?

My 5 year old and his cousin loved digging up the sand. Since it was damp and wet, but not soggy, it was perfect for building creations like you always dream of at the beach, but never seem to come to life since the sand is too dry or too close to the ocean and gets washed away. Here, they are making “sand-balls”.

This was one of my very favorite stops from the whole trip, even though it was just a short hour stop and wasn’t even one of our picked out destinations. While the beach is messy, it’s absolutely worth it every time.

For the first time, your laundry can get a whole new kind of fresh! Arm & Hammer has launched a new line of scents inspired by the great outdoors and the National Park Foundation. There are 3 new vibration options, all with Arm & Hammer Baking Soda to lift out the dirt and odors from your outdoor adventures.

The beach is a great place for kids. Of course, it's incredibly fun, but it also offers a ton of educational opportunities.
