Patriotic Party Time

How do you feel about celebrating the Fourth of July? We are big time partiers over here! Fireworks, BBQs, ice cream, stars, stripes… BRING IT ON! Today I want to share with you some of our staples for the Fourth.

When I asked my three-year-old what he wanted for our party this year he yelled, “HOT DOGS!!” and let’s be honest nothing says american like hot dogs! We decided to go with a Hot Dog bar with all the fix in’s. Does your family have favorite toppings for their dogs? I am a chili dog lover while my husband is more of a classic toppings fan. Either way we have got you covered! Today we included onions, peppers, pickles, tomatoes, cheese, bacon, relish and salsa. Some of our favorite condiments are mayo, ketchup, mustard, spicy mustard, BBQ sauce, or even ranch dressing.

I received Oriental Trading products in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.

I organized all these yummy options in some dived trays and labeled them with these cute chalk board place cards. These are a great option for labeling foods, or seat assignments, or even just to leave out for your friends to doodle on!

We can’t just eat hot dogs though! We sliced up a watermelon, served up some chips and salsa (in this awesome and easy serving dish), plus some easy layered salad. Speaking of salad, how cute does it look in these mason jars?

Mason jars are all the rage in party throwing right now! They are so versatile. Any salad or dessert that you might put in a trifle dish can be put in individual servings in a mason jar! Easy to make, adorable to serve, and simple to grab as you walk along the food table. You can also use them for drinks!

Guests can quickly grab everything they need to fill their plate in one spot. We simply wrapped our plastic utensils in a paper napkin (found here) and closed it with a quick strip of washi tape (found here). Stick the cute rolls in a mason jar with a patterned paper straw and it totally doubles as part of your decor!

I love mason jars! They are so easy to dress up or down and can be used for everything. Great idea for a hot dog bar so every one can have just what they want.
