Invisible Household Dangers & Kidde Carbon Monoxide Alarm

Invisible Household Dangers

My youngest is 5.5 months and is almost to the crawling stage where in just a few weeks I will be endlessly scouring the floor looking for potential dangers. Having three older brothers ages two to six, there is bound to often be something small and dangerous left on the floor. My boys love to carry around marbles, coins, legos, hot wheels, action figures, and other things with small or potential choke hazard threats. My youngest is already so fascinated by everything he sees around him and of course everything always lands in his mouth. I am grateful that I can at least scour the floor or run my fingers through the rug and look for those things that can be dangerous for my little man as he starts to explore the world around him. I can also pretty easily see when something does make it into his mouth.

However, there is another danger we could easily face in our home that is colorless, odorless, and tasteless and can be deadly within minutes. Carbon Monoxide (CO) is something that many of us might forget to thing of but truly is an invisible danger that we should be concerned about. The only way you can safely test for Carbon Monoxide is with a working CO alarm. The US Census statistics show us that not all the homes that have potential Carbon monoxide hazards have a working CO alarm.
