This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Mott’s®.

Watching my children grow is both exciting and heartbreaking. I love watching my children as they develop a personality, their unique interests, as they grow and mature and gain independence. But every step along the way and each new milestone is also a reminder of how quickly these motherhood days will pass.

I want to preserve little moments and memories of their childhood, but let’s be real here – I’m a busy mom who is limited on time and effort. I knew I was going to need ways to document my children growing up that were so ridiculously easy that they wouldn’t feel like any extra effort. This is what has worked for my family.

Listen up, mamas! Your children are growing incredibly fast, you need these super easy solutions to preserve memories of your children during their childhood that you can look back and reflect on from year to year.

5 Ridiculously Easy Ways to Document Childhood

1. Hang a Growth Chart – Using a growth chart is a very visual and unique way to see how your children have grown over the years. It will remind you just how short they were way back when and it is really fun to compare your other children as they get to the same ages as your older children how their height compares. Plan to mark the growth chart about once a quarter, or at least once a year. Record the child’s name or initials if you have more than one child and the month and year.

2. Order the School Portraits – I’ll admit, school portraits might be a little cheesy and have a studio feel to them, but they preserve a nostalgic look at your child’s school years. The best part about them is there is no effort required on your part. The school will handle booking the photo shoot, coordinating the pictures, all you will do is send in a check and collect the pictures. Store the 8x10s in a sheet protector in a binder and your family will be able to easily flip back through the years to easily compare a years worth of growth. These portraits will be treasured memories for years to come.

3. Take Pictures Daily – Smartphones have become a permanent attachment. One of the best uses for your phone is that camera that goes with you everyone you are. Take advantage of it by taking videos and pictures throughout your day and week. You can have these pictures automatically upload to the cloud to preserve them or upload them to one of the innovative services out there to have photo albums auto-shipped to you or to create video slideshows out of your daily shots. Those pictures will be a priceless collection you can look back on in the years to come.

4. Stash Their Schoolwork – Get a document box or a  large shoe box for each of your children and label the box with their name. When your child brings home a piece of art or worksheet filled with their handwriting or an essay they are really proud of, just slip it into the box to save for later. When your child approaches their high school graduation, you can transform all of their work from over the years into a bound book you can treasure together. Aim to save your favorite 5-10 pieces from each school year and you’ll have a great collection that shows how far they have come and will be really fun to flip back through together.

5. Save a Favorite Shirt Each Year – When your child has outgrown their current clothing size, and you’re ready to bring out the next size clothes and stash away their older styles, consider saving your favorite t-shirt or two. Look for a shirt that holds a lot of memories that you can picture them in when you see it in their laundry pile. Save it away in a special collection that’s just of their items. Each year when you add a new top, you can reminisce through the older shirts. When they’re off to college, you can turn the collection of shirts into a bedspread or save them to stitch together as a baby blanket with your first grandchild.

#WatchMeGrow

With a household full of boys from ages two to ten, I know just how important it is to be healthy and encourage foods that will fuel my boys as they grow. I have been a big fan of Mott’s products since my first little boy was old enough to start eating solids. We have depended on Mott’s juice and Mott’s applesauce varieties as the perfect snack and now as the ideal lunchbox filler. It’s one of the few quick and easy foods that I can feel good about serving as they are made from real fruit and provide a good source of vitamins.

My 2 year old lives for the Mott’s applesauce pouches and I love that there are no spills, no messes, and perfect for on-the-go! Since my 2-year-old is often along for the ride to take his older brother to school and activities and all the errands, he spends a lot of time out and about and I like to keep these easy snacks on hand to keep him happy. There’s nothing worse than a grouchy, hungry toddler on an errand run. The pouches are so easy to keep in my purse, so I am ready for anything.

These are all great ways to document childhood. I have actually saved all of my children's work from school and am planning on going through it.

We use a growth chart too - my twins love it and want to check it daily. I love the favorite shirt idea - I've been saving sports team shirts but now I'm going to save a few of those as well!
