I was able to test drive a 2014 Kia Soul for a week in order to form an opinion for this post. All opinions are my own.
We had the awesome opportunity to go to Disneyland earlier this month to attend the Disney Social Media Moms conference. Since we were only taking our older two boys and leaving the little ones with my mom to avoid having to take strollers, diapers, and arrange naptimes we thought it’d be fun to test drive a sporty car for the trip! We were able to test drive this 2014 Kia Soul for our trip.
Anyone who knows me knows that I hate to drive. I’m a total nervous wreck driving roads I’ve never been on before. My husband had to work and would be flying into Los Angeles to meet us which meant I’d be driving the 5 hour drive myself. As soon as I sat down in the Soul and started driving, I was so comfortable and found that I actually really liked driving! The Soul drives so smooth and nice and it was easy to see out my windows, adjust settings, and access everything I needed right from the drivers seat that I didn’t have to worry about getting used to a new car, it felt natural to drive. I was totally fine with the drive, that is until the last hour as I got into LA traffic, that had me cringing!
This beautiful car has heat and cooled driver and passenger seats, a very nice easy to use GPS, built-in blu-tooth to sync your phone, satellite radio, and a nice speaker system with cool mood lighting for nighttime driving. My favorite feature is the full length sunroof! It makes the car fill really big and open.
The only downside of the Soul is it does have a pretty small trunk space. You can fold down the rear seats for more trunk space as needed. For most general use, the trunk is plenty big, but for long road trips you might need one seat folded down for enough storage space.
The 2014 Kia Soul is a beautiful car that is fun to drive and drives great! Best of all, it has great gas mileage with 23 city / 31 highway estimated gas mileage.
