Stonewall Kitchen was created in Maine in 1991 when Jonathan King and partner Jim Stott decided to sell their goods at a local farmer’s market. They acquired a small folding table, a market umbrella and called themselves Stonewall Kitchen, after Jim’s suggestion inspired by the historic New England stone walls outside their kitchen window. After a first day sell-out, they figured they might be onto something and continued to “head to market” every Saturday at the crack of dawn for the next five years. Today, Stonewall Kitchen boasts more than 6,000 wholesale accounts nationwide. The company continues to evolve ensuring its role as one of the country’s most acclaimed specialty food producers. The company produces all kinds of home goods including vinegars, oils, pesto, jams, pancake mixes and cookie mixes just to name a few.

A Mom's Take3-002

I am a huge fan of mint chocolate flavored anything but am picky with textures and the right amount of mint vs. chocolate.  Stonewall Kitchen nailed it with their Double Chocolate Mint Cookie Mix. I sent a text to my friend after I tasted these cookies and told him that I just made the best cookies I have ever had in my life. And it’s true, they are delicious! My daughter, best friend, and myself ate the first batch of 12 cookies before the second batch even came out of the oven. They are simple and quick to make, only needing to add six Tablespoons of butter and one egg to the mix, and are very high quality. I will without a doubt purchase more of Stonewall Kitchen’s products in the future.

You can purchase Stonewall Kitchen products on their website or on Amazon. The ARP of a package of Double Chocolate Mint Cookie Mix is $8.95.
