Sproutkin Prize

Inside my Sproutkit I received a great selection of books that included early readers perfect for my 6 year old as well as longer stories perfect for sharing as a bedtime book with my little ones. The kits theme was “Imagine That” and had great books based around the theme that encourage imagination and a new look at the world. Here’s the titles that were included in my Sproutkit:

  • Harold and the Purple Crayon
  • Father Bear Comes Home
  • Zack’s Alligator
  • Strega Nona’s Magic Lessons
  • Sylvester and the Magic Pebble
  • Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs
  • How to Be a Super Villain
  • Where the Wild Things Are
  • I Need My Monster
  • Silly Street

Sproutkin Book Subscription

We really loved reading these books together as a family and found new titles we hadn’t read before as well as a few classic favorites. We really enjoyed all the books except one which just didn’t seem to go anywhere with the story. Our favorite was “Zack’s Alligator” which my 6 year old was able to read to me and told a creative tale of a key chain sized alligator coming to life by being “watered” and the adventure they went on that day. My oldest thought this story was so funny and we have read this story again a few times since. I appreciated the included Sproutkit guide that gives question prompts to help stir a conversation between you and your children to get them thinking such as, “If you could have a talking animal for a pet, what kind of pet would you have?” The guide also includes activity suggestions as well for even more fun based on the same theme.
