Did you know that over 95% of boys and girls are potty trained by the age of four but 40% of parents say that their child between the ages of 4 and 6 still wets the bed at least once a week? Surprisingly, parents believe they can “train” their child out of nighttime bed wetting when in fact is simply is a stage that must be outgrown as your child learns to control their bladder.

GoodNites Spiderman

I’ve struggled with this a lot with my 4 year old. My now 6 year old never had a problem with nighttime use of the potty and my 2 year old, shockingly, even wakes up in the middle of the night and comes into my room to tell me when he needs to use the bathroom. My 4 year old, though, hasn’t be able to recognize the signals from his body that he might need to get up in the middle of the night and bedwetting has been a struggle for us to try to find solutions too. The GoodNites have really helped as they are much more comfortable for my son and truly hold a ton. GoodNites are made for children ages 4-14 to specifically address the needs of children who are potty trained but experiencing bedwetting. They are a more absorbent youth pant that other training pants or diapers geared towards younger children so they can help keep your bed and child dry through the night. If your child is able to stay dry all day but sometimes has nighttime accidents, than your child is most likely experiencing bedwetting and no longer in the potty training phase. Plus, for a limited time, GoodNites has introduced Marvel and Disney prints that your “big kid” is sure to love!

my son was really hard to potty train, and I can remember he would wet the bed even after he started school. I wish I’d had goodnites back then to put on him at nighttime…

  • donnak4

Mine were fairly early to potty train, but my nephew is not interested!

  • Shirley Zolenski

She is still trying to get it down at night but pull ups are a life saver.

  • Laura Proctor Unger

My son does fine during the day, but at night he just doesn’t wake up when he needs to go.

  • Teresa Thompson

We’ve just started potty training my granddaughter and so far shes doing great.

  • Kimberly Hilbert

My first daughter didn’t have much of a problem with bed wetting once she was fully potty trained. She was able to find the bathroom in the night. Luckily in that house her bedroom was 2 feet away from the bathroom.

  • Robert Pyszk

Thank goodness we only have a couple bed wetting accidents .

  • Hollie Jahnke

My daughter is fully potty trained during the day but she still has accidents at night.

All three of my kids are potty trained but my son sometimes makes mistakes in the middle of the night because he is a heavy sleeper and that’s why we love Goodnites pull-ups.

  • Rosey

Three out of four of my kiddos trained both potty time and getting up in the night very easily. My last one hasn’t. He’s been potty trained for a long time in the daytime, but every once in awhile has a nighttime accident. We’re on day 11 of being accident free, woot!

  • http://www.facebook.com/melina.ramirez.585 Melina Ramirez

I did not have too many wet bedding experiences with my kids. my son was a more difficult to potty train

  • susansmoaks

our son is totally potty trained when he is awake, but he is a deep sleeper so we have a lot of bed wetting, we try to stop fluids a few hours before bed but that doesn’t always help!

My son was SO easy to train during the day, in just 1 week he decided that he was potty trained with no accidents, but nighttime is another story. He does wet the bed on most nights, but it is nice to know that this is a very common issue.

  • Nicole Lancaster

My daughter was very easy to potty train, I had no problem there. She does wet the bed sometimes but no more than twice a year.

My daughter has been showing signs of potty training for months now and uses it here and there. She’s only 20 months old now though so we don’t want to push it too much. She’s definitely aware of it though and we’re hoping she’ll be potty trained by the time she turns 2.

I had 6 boys and 1 girl. She was the hardest ever to potty train. lol

  • Fiona

Keep reminding them go to the bathroom before they sleep every night!

  • Stacy T

I don’t have any personal stories, but my niece had a problem with bedwetting until she was about 7 or 8. My brother took her to several doctors because they were worried she had something medically wrong with her, but it turned out she was just a really deep sleeper.

  • Danielle Mitchell

My daughter has been difficult to potty train at night. She still uses night time diapers every evening. I’m going to try some of their tips!

My daughter was easy to train, my son is proving to be a little harder. We’ve reduce his liquid intake after dinner, and that seems to help.

  • Missy L

All of my kids had the daytime training done at least a year before the nighttime training happened. Their bodies just aren’t ready until later. And that’s okay.

  • Kyra Stolworthy

Don’t let him drink about an hour before bed and he does AWESOME! :)

  • Vera P.

  • tamar

we did the 3 day potty training method and it worked

  • israel y

we find when he doesnt drink anything for an hour before bedtime, then he can go the whole night without bedwetting

  • Angela Hartness

Potting training was a breeze, it is the bed-wetting that has been a night mare. I feel better knowing that 1 out of every 9 children wet the bed and that I am not alone in this battle.

  • Stephanie L.

My daughter isn’t ready just yet, we’ve tried a few different times. It’s best not to force her into it. She will be ready when she’s ready.

  • priscillavbenavides

My boys have always done well with potty training at night but I have one more to go, he is 15 months and we have one baby one the way so we will have to wait to see how that goes with them!

  • Karen Farrow

My oldest son would wet the bed no matter what we tried. We talked with his doctor and tried every approach we could think of. These would be great for our little one who wears nightime pullups right now but would feel more like a ‘big boy’ with these.

  • http://www.thelifeofrylie.com LeeAnn

My daughter was potty trained shortly after she turned 2, during the day and night. She never has accidents at night. ::knock on wood:: Everyone said my son would be more difficult to potty train because he was a boy, but he actually potty trained himself over a weekend when he was about 2 1/2. He was way easy! However, he still has nighttime accidents.

My first daughter has been more difficult to potty training, I think because of intolerance to milk.

My older son was late to potty train. Like WAY late! Once he decided he was ready though, he goes to sleep in his underwear and stays dry all night. Our younger one is ready to potty train now though, so we will see how it goes!

  • Rochelle

Only had a few night-time accidents. Not too bad.

  • Maryann

Our middle son was the hardest to train. He was also a very deep night sleeper so he had a few accidents. It so much easier with our 3rd one. He is so cooperative and really wants to learn and try to be a big boy.

  • Yesenia

When I started potty training my then 2.y.o. now 5, he used to sleep right through the night and would not wake up when he had to pee. Eventually he got with the program. You just have to be patient.

We are still working with my daughter on night training. Some nights she stays completely dry and others she is still waking up with a wet pull-up. So, i believe she’ll just get there when she gets there. WE are having her go potty before bed in hopes this helps

  • Cheryl W

My daughter had a couple of accidents at night after she was potty trained. I really believe it was more of her being so asleep, she didn’t even know she had to go.

  • Caitlin Tate

    I could use this

  • Daiva

My son is a deep sleeper, so he doesn’t wake up to go to the bathroom. I could really use this!

  • Susie B. Homemaker

My son has been potty trained since early two but has some accidents at bed time he’s four now. I’m hoping that he’ll stop once he starts a full day of preschool and is drinking less during the day.

  • http://www.facebook.com/StephanieLarison Stephanie Larison

My daughter is 3 and still not ready just yet to potty train, I will not be pushing her as I know it takes most kids from 3-4 to finish. She will do it on her own time. In the mean time getting her used to these, she feels more confident about the potty when before, she wanted nothing to with it.

  • Cassandra Eastman

I decided not to push my son into potty training to quickly and that worked great, he was 2 1/2 and had it down really well. I hope my daughter is as easy! She is just 12 months now but it won’t be long!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Leslie-Galloway/100002864252063 Leslie Galloway

My daughter wet the bed forever… and the pediatrician just told me that it would happen when it happened. That it was all hormonal. She was right. All of the sudden, one day she just turned the corner, and hardly ever had another accident.
