Wertely the Durkle Finds a Friend Book Review & Giveaway

We accept a variety of samples and/or compensation for links, posts, and other campaigns. Refer to the bottom of the post and our site-wide disclosure policy for full details.

In this fun, rhyming children’s story, Wertely the Durkle has a surprising (and slobbery) run in with a curious creature looking for a snack. But when these two very different characters decide to help one another repair the damage caused by their topsy turvy introduction, they become the best of friends. The silly words and whimsical characters of the book help fuel a child’s imagination. Parents and grandparents are sure to appreciate the subtle moral to the story.

Wertely the Durkle Finds a Friend Book Review & Giveaway

Wertely the Durkle Finds a Friend, by Dori Gehling, is absolutely adorable.  I love the cute rhymes used to tell the story.  Wertely is a cute little guy who meets someone through a mishap and they become the very best of friends.  I like the lessons it teaches, too.  The illustrations are cute and fun.  Although some of the story is beyond my 1-year-old’s comprehension right now, he still loved the book and will only grow into more as the years go by!  If you’re looking for a cute new children’s book to read to your kids, go grab yourself a copy of Wertely the Durkle Finds a Friend – it’s cute and sweet!

You can buy Wertely the Durkle Finds a Friend, by Dori Gehling, from Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.  It retails for $8.95.
