I was able to try out a pair of text bands and decided to let my 8-year-old be my tester. He ended up being perfect for the job! My 14-year-old uses his own phone to text and my younger kids are still learning to read. My 8-year-old had a blast with his Text Bands! Before school started, we would each wear one during the day and bump messages to each other. Now he takes them to school to send messages to his best friend! Hopefully a few more of his friends will get a Text Band soon so they can all swap messages! Text Bands are a great way to let everyone know what’s on your mind, and check to see what’s going on with your friends too! They can also be used to encourage your friends when they are having a hard time or even just to say “HI”! One of the things I love about Text Bands is that they block out any bad words! I really needed that option with my mischievous son! I also like that you are only able to put in a certain amount of characters. Sometimes it can be overwhelming trying to text entire sentences. These messages are short, sweet and to the point! I’m hoping my son has started a new, parent-approved trend at his school! I would recommend Text Bands to any boy or girls ages 5+.
