Learning Resources “Shape Sorting Presents” Review & Giveaway

We accept a variety of samples and/or compensation for links, posts, and other campaigns. Refer to the bottom of the post and our site-wide disclosure policy for full details.

Learning Resourcesis the last place you need to look for any educational toys or games for you children or students.  Whether you are a teacher looking for a fun and exciting way to learn fractions or a mom looking for a way to teach your child to count, Learning Resources will have just what you need!  On their website, you can shop by subject, grade, brand, age or category.   This helps filter through their enormous selection and help you find the product that best fits your needs.  Some of the newest products they have include the Farmer’s Market Color Sorting Set to help sort vegetables and colors, Healthy Helpings MyPlate Pocket Chart to teach children about healthy eating and Sentence Buildings to help children learn all the parts of a sentence in a fun way!  The Shape Sorting Presents featured here help your child learn shapes by looking at pictures of real world items and putting the card into the matching box.  The set includes 6 boxes, 90 cards and Activity Guide.

Like all of the Learning Resource products I have been able to try, I fell in love with the Shape Sorting Presents the second I opened the package!  The shaped boxes were so adorable and perfect size for my three and five year old kids.  It includes a star, oval, rectangle, square, circle and triangle.  The shape boxes are also durable and fit perfectly back into the large box for storage.  The cards included feature different shaped items to be sorted into the matching box.  This simple idea can be turned into several games or activities for younger kids! My three year old and I would flip the cards over, take turns picking a one, and then name the item and put it in the corresponding box.  When he got tired of that game, we each took a pile and raced to put them in the correct boxes the fastest.  There are endless ways to play with this colorful set.  The pictures on the cards can also be used alone as flash cards for name recognition.  My son knew most of the items, but a couple we were able to talk about and he learned what they were.  The Shape Sorting Presents have been played with time and time again in our playroom in so many different ways!  I would recommend them for any kids who love sorting!

The Shape Sorting Presents can be purchased on the Learning Resources Website and retail for $32.99.  They are geared for preschool aged kids and older.
