Available on DVD & Blu-ray on August 7th!
Movie Synopsis: “It’s a rainy day at home and siblings Dick and Sally have nothing to do. All of that changes when The Cat and his messy sidekicks, Thing One and Thing Two, burst onto the scene, bringing with them adventure and chaos, much to the dismay of a worried pet goldfish. Come join the escapades in the remastered Deluxe Edition of the classic TV special Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat. Then, The Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Daisy-Head Mayzie, a girl who mistakenly thinks that the flower blooming on her head will only bring trouble, though it eventually propels her to fame and fortune. And finally, blast off to The Hoober-Bloob Highway, where every road from a space laboratory leads to Earth… and eventually to gratitude. It’s Dr. Seuss times three in this fun and whimsical collection that’s sure to be cherished by fans of all ages.”

We are a house full of Dr. Seuss lovers so this DVD/Blu-ray combo was right up our alley! We have at least 20 Dr. Seuss books, but my all time favorite still has to be The Cat in the Hat. This digitally remastered version did not disappoint! My kids haven’t watched the Cat in the Hat for a couple years, so they were just as excited to check out this Blu-ray combo as if it was their first time! Their favorite characters, in the book and movie, are still Thing 1 and Thing 2. Their antics throughout the whole show have my kids laughing and occasionally trying to copy them! My boys actually dressed up like them for Halloween last year! The blue hair was awesome! My daughter’s favorite part of this combo pack was the Daisy-Head Mayzie animated story. Her name was supposed to be Mayzie (spelled the same) until we got to the hospital and changed it. We ended up using the name for our puppy, but it is still my daughter’s favorite name! She was SO excited when she heard it on the TV…besides the fact the Daisy-Head Mayzie was adorable! We had fun watching the Cat in the Hat together as a family and I would recommend this updated classic to any Dr. Seuss fan!
Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat has a total run time of 25 minutes. It is available as a DVD only for $19.97 or on Blu-ray Combo Pack for $24.98. There are also other great Dr. Seuss titles already available on Blu-ray including Dr. Seuss’s Green Eggs and Ham, Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax, Horton Hears A Who! and Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
