Lots To Do In Line: Disneyland

There’s Lots To Do In Cars Land’s Queues!

Meredith Lyn Pierce, author of “Lots To Do In Line: Disneyland,” has released a free downloadable PDF to help parents and others cope with the mega-lines created by the popularity of the new Cars Land attraction at Disney California Adventure Park.

Using the same format she used in her book, which was published before Cars Land opened, Pierce has created scavenger hunts and I-Spy-style activities to keep visitors happily occupied as they inch slowly to the front of the long lines generated by the new attraction’s instant success.

“The Radiator Springs ride alone has created waits as long as three hours,” Pierce notes. “Clearly something had to be done.”

The games in Pierce’s “Lots To Do In Line: Disneyland” focus your attention on details you might otherwise miss. If you like, you can compete for points with family and friends to add to the fun. You don’t have to be an expert in Disney history or trivia either. Since playing requires no prior knowledge, adults and kids play on an equal footing.

Cars Land, a 12-acre addition to the Disneyland Resort’s Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California, opened on June 16 and has been phenomenally popular, as the long lines attest.

“I wanted to get this PDF into the hands of fans quickly, well before the book’s second edition appears,” Pierce said. “ I was inspired to create “Lots To Do In Line: Disneyland” when I watched my daughter turn from a delightful and delighted little girl into a crabby kid every time we got into a lengthy ride line, so I can empathize with what people are going through in Cars Land right now.”

“Lots To Do In Line: Disneyland” and Pierce’s Cars Land supplement are published by The Intrepid Traveler. For your free download of “Lots To Do In Line: Car Land” click here! Or to buy the book and get the free supplement at the same time, click here!

Since I went to Disneyland a about a year and don’t have a trip planned for a while, I had my friend Brooke take it with her when she went with her sisters.  I was SO jealous that she actually had something fun to do while she was waiting in lines!!  Maybe I should plan another trip just so I can use this book!  Here’s what she had to say…

“Lots To Do In Line was perfect for my last trip to Disneyland with my sisters. When it is busy, and you are waiting in line for longer than 5-10 minutes (which happens to be most days in Disneyland) it’s nice to have something to pass the time. The book has things to find and questions to answer for every single ride. My favorite ones were the rides in Fantasy Land like Peter Pan and Pinocchio. It really had us looking around and noticing all the great details on the rides and all the fun things that make Disneyland magical. I noticed so much more, and the time went by a lot faster. Everyone around us line wanted to join in the fun!”

Lots To Do In Line Disneyland Book is available on Amazon, Target.com and Barnes and Noble for $12.95.  The iPhone app is available on iTunes for $5.99.
