Kids can activate dozens of activities throughout the “The House That Went On Strike” book including calling the house to strike, tossing bread from a toast that bops dad’s head, sliding the boy and girl down the steps, and prompting the family to finally clean the house. The goal of this storybook app is to teach children about respecting their house in a fun and meaningful way. By showing how the home and objects inside might respond to a messy, children can be shown a reason why chores are important and motivation to help out around the home. Creative director Rania Ajami stated, “Giving life, personalities and feelings to the house and appliances allows kids to learn appreciation for the home in an interactive, sympathetic and playful manner.”
